I cannot get the version of TWRP posted here to work on the Umi Super with Android build# V3.02_20161121

What happens is that the logo appears and when I let go of power (whilst keeping VolumeUp pressed) the logo appears again and it keeps doing that until I let go completely and then it just boots normally.

Seems to me that there is more to flashing TWRP on the Umi Super than is documented here.

I have tried it also with "OEM unlocking, Allow the bootloader to be unlocked" enabled, but that makes no difference (and in fact the device does not let you do it, because the VolUp button is somehow disabled when you are in fastboot and you try "fastboot oem unlock".

I would like to know if anybody has managed to flash TWRP on the Umi Super with the 20161121 ROM installed?

P.S. I would like to know if the following line in /system/build.prop makes any difference:

ro.expect.recovery_id=0x0610e0dd502ce586cee9665ee002a6e0e52a84aa000000000000000000000000

because I have also tried to flash TWRP after altering the image ID using bootimg-id to match the above key.

That didn't work either.

i'm happy that my TWRP for Umi Z works good..
unfortunately without a kernel patch (i'm unable to do .. maybe jemmini could work on it) Touch screen is not worning on TWRP .. so you need an OTG mouse to use TWRP

i want to root my Umi Z but i havent an OTG adapter to connect a mouse.
Have someone tried the ADB commands and can post them in the right order ?

Hi. I installed TWRP3.0.2-UMI_ROME_X.img and I tried to flash SuperSU zip inside it and I get an error every time. It says "BAD RECOVERY DETECTED, NO UNZIP, ABORTING" and also "Error installing zip file..." under. Can anyone help?

Hello everyone,

I have a problem on my umi plus E. I flashed the latest twrp from first post and it works (even touch screen functionality, yay!). But now i cant boot into system. I tried flashing again, flashing stock recovery, nothing helped. I had to restore a backup (didnt have one so had to reflash from stock, my fault) to be able to boot into system. Tried it again, the old no-touch version works (i use it with adb as i dont have an otg mouse), tried flashing the new one, and the same thing happened - cant boot into system.

Bad/wrong image uploaded, maybe?

hello, i have umi plus with nougat on it, i successfully installed TWRP and rooted the phone and wiped dalvik cache, but after i turned it on, google play services and other apps are constantly crashing, anyone encountered that? and what should i do.
