UMi Rome X v3.01 ROM - SPFT version

This is the SP Flash Tool version of the v3.01 (first release) firmware for UMI Rome X

Flash Tool operation is recommended for experienced users only. Do not use it if you cannot understand the whole process!

ROM:
MP_mt6580_w325_dj80umi_hxxd_cc_64gbitp8d3_lp1...20160120-163140.rar
Extract the .rar file before use. The scatter file (MT6580_Android_scatter.txt)
is inside the extracted folder, together with the other elements.

SPFT:
SP_Flash_Tool_Win_v5.1552.rar
(use this one instead of the old version linked in the UMI forum guide)

VCOM driver:
MT65x3_USB_VCOM_drivers.zip
(still compatible with MT65xx phones)
It supports 32/64-bit Windows XP/Vista and only 64-bit Windows 7/8.x/10 systems.

Which version currently do you have installed on your phone?

This is the original stock ROM for Rome X. If you brick your phone somehow or it suffers from some kind of software related malfunction, you can recover it with this solution even if your phone is totally dead. That's the reason of this post. If your phone works perfectly, then you don't need this stuff.

Hi Reyner0227,
Has bencebacsi wrote earlier, this is the original stock ROM for UMI Rome X phones.
It's the pre-installed factory ROM that is shipped with every UMI Rome phone.
It does not add anything new, or fixes anything.
The issues of the apps not running on the backgroung still exists.
No app notifications are allowed, as they seem blocked by the ROM itself.

there are some thing to do to have notifications or the miss keyboard issues or the gps troubles or at least how to change the lockscreen??

Hi ! i have one umi rome x and i try to flash it with your rom , i open flash tool and every think is going well, And finally the green circle appeared.
but when i try to power off the phone it won't turn on. now my phone is dead what can i do to revive it can you please help me.

Hi,
This one is a very old ROM and your phone is probably a newer one with newer screen. You should find the same version that you had originally and flash that on your phone.
