No DATA connection

Hi all,
I just got a Umi Emax for my wife and although overly impressed with its features and quality, we have now found 1 major problem. It won't connect to the network's Data plan. All settings for Data (ie Sim Management, Network, etc) have been set correctly. It shows 3G and 4G and the network name (Vodafone), but when using something like Viber or Messenger, the outgoing message hangs and a message says no internet connection. If we go to Wifi, everything works fine (and the hung messages go through). But not with the sim card. I put it back in previous phone (a SGS3) and it works OK. But in this phone, nothing! Has anything experienced this before? Is there some setting I've overlooked. Or, finally, is the phone defective? Thanks if you can.

Hi David, sorry for not replying (I did not see your question). If you have not fixed it, what I did was call our network provider. They needed to change something, and gave me a long number to change in Network settings. After that, it worked fine. So call your Network and they should be able to help. Sorry again for not seeing your question.
