This is the SP Flash Tool release of the
V1.0_20211201 system software
for UMIDIGI A11 Pro Max

Flash tool operation is recommended to experienced users only. If you are not yet an experienced flash tool user, please carefully read the flash tool tutorial before proceeding, and strictly follow each instruction.

Except if an authorized or responsible expert directly asked you to do that,
never format the flash chip of your device or you instantly lose your warranty!

UMIDIGI A11 Pro Max receives all updates automatically via FOTA method. You need this tool only in case of emergency (if you've bricked your phone), if you want to apply a clean install or if you want to clear all root access and custom recovery to make your phone able to receive FOTA updates again. Moreover, flashing with SPFT is the only option to repair (replace) damaged system software.

Changelog:
  • Talkback function improved
  • FM frequency range adjusted to 76MHZ~108MHZ
  • Other minor bug fixes and system optimization

FOTA vesion: UMIDIGI_A11_PRO_MAX_V1.0_2106040001_20211201-1051

Extract the .rar file before use. The scatter file (MT6768_Android_scatter.txt) is inside the extracted folder, together with the other components

VCOM driver: Windows 10 can automatically install it. Please make sure that your Windows is logged in with administrator rights and your computer has a working internet connection when first time connecting your phone.

Here's an optional solution to start the flashing process on your UMIDIGI A11 Pro Max if the standard method doesn't work.
It's especially useful if your phone is bricked or is stuck in bootloop
1. Connect your phone to USB.
2. Start the flashing process with the Download button in the flasher app.
3. Press and hold the power button of your phone until the flashing process starts (red bar appears at the bottom of the app window), then release it. In this process you have to keep the power button pressed for about 10 seconds.
4. Wait until the flashing process finishes.

If you accidentally formatted the flash chip of your phone, visit the following thread: UMIDIGI A7-A11, Power 5 and BISON: Repair IMEIs, MEID and Google certificate

Kind request from users:
Please report any kind of new issues you experience after installing this update only if you've already flashed this ROM with SP Flash Tool in Firmware Upgrade mode. In rare cases a FOTA update can cause more or less serious malfunctions but that means only the update process went wrong, not a badly developed ROM. An updated stock ROM, especially related to the basic functions will not cause any new issues but will solve some of the existing ones.

Is there a zip package available to download to do a "Local update"? I tried the FOTA update and it got to "Installing: 99%" and never completed. Now if I manually check for updates it says "Your device's software is currently up to date", even though I am still on the old (September 16, 2021) version.

It took me around 30 minutes to get from 99% to 100%.

After updating OTA to the latest version, I noticed that wifi connectivity is poor (i.e. very slow) and I can only rely on mobile data now. Is there a fix for this? Thanks.

Found the issue. It is in conflict with one of the App (AAWireless) that I have used. It went back to normal after uninstalling that App. :-)

Does anyone know how to enter developer options after this upgrade.  My settings menu is now completely different and when I enter about phone and click on the build number multiple times nothing changes.  It looks like this is no longer a stock version and I had .5x animation transitions turned on before the update.  Looks like it reverted to 1x which is slow and annoying and now I can't back in to enable developer options which is super annoying.

Comments

I made an account just to reply to this question! Search up 'build number' in settings and you will be taken to a hidden menu called 'status'. Tap on that build number 7 times and all should wo   Post time 2022-4-1 15:55

Hello, Admin

Could you provide a zip package for local update in order to avoid reset all data via SP flash tool?

My device does not receive FOTA yet although it has been released 1 month ago.

Thank you.
