well better clarify , however you say it is easy , it is definitely for you that you are good , but for us mere mortals with the ability to construct the phone is not easy even if we are your guides and varotone
the most ' difficult part comes when you have to be transformed by emax mini tcl , if the mistakes then you can no longer use the apparatus

A quote from me in the introductory of this post: "The process described in this guide is quite complicated..."
So, I didn't say that this is easy but you simply don't need this update to install. For the case of a damaged ROM, when you need to update/repair it, some flashtool versions are available here, and they are easy to use.

Since it seems obvious you have a direct way ...

I already discussed this problem with a UMI representative much earlier. TCL has completely finished this project, we can't expect anything more from them. Those custom TCL M3G ROMs are created by skilled users, not by TCL itself. Moreover, UMI's connection to TCL is quite weak: the only contact with them is UMI's leader himself, employees cannot contact them to request anything.

I know M3G roms are not published by TCL (who didn't even bother to publish kernel sources). If what you're saying is true, that's terribly bad for users, I mean, the phone was launched less than a year ago and it's already confirmed that it is outdated. I guess crappy software support is the price you have to pay in order to get decent hardware at low prices.

Yes, that's right.
Also turning back is easier and faster than the process itself.
To turn back you only have to flash the latest UMI update in download mode.

I can't promise updates every 1/2 weeks, that's an estimate.
You can always flash stock 5.0 update as long as you don't break download mode (which I'm not sure is even possible)
As for "turn off the radio"... please make sure that you understand the process before attempting it, it is by no means trivial.
