2020 Chevy with Android auto. Android auto connects just fine over USB but when receiving calls audio is played over phone speakers instead of vehicle speaks due to no Bluetooth connection. The car initially sees the Bluetooth and tries to connect, for a split second looks like its connected, but then disconnects. I tried to just connect to Bluetooth without Android Auto (as I have done successfully in the past) and this failed also.

The only working solution currently for me is to downgrade to the previous FW release.

I hope Umidigi can resolve this bug.

A second issue I have had with this phone unrelated to this FW release and since day one is that it never connects to a 4G or 4GLTE signal when making calls. When no calls are being made and just using data it is connected to a 4G signal, but as soon as I make or receive a call it switches to 3G signal. I'm on AT&T and they will soon be discontinuing their 3G services, I even got an email from them saying my phone will no longer work with AT&T once this happens. I know I have 4G and 4GLTE in my area because my old BLU phone was always on 4G or 4GLTE. Is Umidigi doing anything to fix this? The specs state that it should work just fine on 4g and 4gLTE, so why does my phone never make calls with 4g/LTE?

I bought this phone to upgrade from my old BLU phone and I'm starting to wish I hadn't bought it now. This is a real shame because I actually like the phone a lot.

Hi Ne1 !

If calls over the data network (4G, LTE) do not work, then it causes 2 problems:
1. Both parties must be connected to the 4G (LTE) network during a call. Just if the called party does not have 4G coverage, then you will not call via 4G and the phone will switch to a lower network (for example 3G).
2. The operator may not support this model or brand for calls on the 4G network. I have no experience with AT&T and I cannot confirm it. I know for sure that one operator in our country supports Umidigi and the other does not. It is possible to find out directly in the phone: Settings - Network and Internet - Mobile network - switch Calling via 4G.

I made a call to a friend that was on a 4G LTE network, also on AT&T and my phone still switched to 3G. I called AT&T's voice mail number which I'm sure is on 4G/5G and my phone switched to 3G.

The Umidigi A7 Pro will not connect to a 4G/LTE signal on AT&T. The Umidigi A7 Pro will connect to a 4G data tower but will never make a call over 4G/LTE.

I have forced the phone to only connect to LTE networks using this app...

and the phone would not make called at all.

AT&T has emailed may people with this problem letting them know that coming February 28th, 2022 they will be cancelling the use of their 3G networks. So unless Umidigi has a solution for this, many many people will be forced to buy new phones. Its really a shame because the A7 Pro is a fantastic phone.

Switch to T-Mobile Connect $15 or $25 dollar plan--unlimited talk and text 2 GB or 5 GB data.

Wrong. I have T-Mobile Connect works flawless with Umidigi A7 Pro - 4G all the time. 5G is offered too no extra charge. I'm waiting for Umidigi to start the 5G lineup of phones.

Hello all. I am a new member from Nigeria. I own a Umidigi a7 Pro but my problem with the device is that my device restarts on its own ocassionally.
I have the A7 pro ROM V1.4_20210620 installed on the device. Can i switch it to a V3 software?

Can someone help me please? I tried video calling (video over lte feature) but I dont see the video on the other line. I only see my camera on a small circle on the lower left of the screen and everything else is black. Voice is all right and on the other device my video is working fine. I hope someone can tell me what to do.
