This is the SP Flash Tool release of the
V2.0_20210326 system software
for UMIDIGI A5 Pro


Flash tool operation is recommended to experienced users only. If you are not yet an experienced flash tool user, please carefully read the flash tool tutorial before proceeding, and strictly follow each instruction.

Except if an authorized or responsible expert directly asked you to do that,
never format the flash chip of your device or you instantly lose your warranty!

UMIDIGI A5 Pro receives all updates automatically via FOTA method. You need this tool only in case of emergency (if you've bricked your phone), if you want to apply a clean install or if you want to clear all root access and custom recovery to make your phone able to receive FOTA updates again. Moreover, flashing with SPFT is the only option to repair (replace) damaged system software.

Extract the .rar file before use. The scatter file (MT6765_Android_scatter.txt) is inside the extracted folder, together with the other components


VCOM driver: Windows 10 can automatically install it. Please make sure that your Windows is logged in with administrator rights and your computer has a working internet connection when first time connecting your phone.


Here's an optional solution to start the flashing process on your UMIDIGI A5 Pro if the standard method doesn't work.
It's especially useful if your phone is bricked or is stuck in bootloop
1. Connect your UMIDIGI A5 Pro to USB.
2. Start the flashing process with the Download button in the flasher app.
3. Press and keep pressed the power button of your phone until the flashing process starts (red bar appears at the bottom of the app window), then release it. In this process you have to keep the power button pressed for about 10 seconds.
4. Wait until the flashing process finishes.

Kind request from users:
Please report any kind of new issues you experience after installing this update only if you've already flashed this ROM with SP Flash Tool in Firmware Upgrade mode. In rare cases a FOTA update can cause more or less serious malfunctions but that means only the update process went wrong, not a badly developed ROM. An updated stock ROM, especially related to the basic functions will not cause any new issues but will solve some of the existing ones.

UMIDIGI please fix call volume!!!

First I suggest you to clean the hole of the earpiece speaker. That’s a very narrow slit, so even a very small amount of dirt can stop it up, blocking the outgoing sound waves.
If that’s clean but the volume is still too low, you can adjust the max volume in Engineer Mode.
  • Dial * # * # 3646633 # * # *
  • Scroll right to the Hardware Testing page
  • Select Audio → Volume → Voice
  • Switch to Receiver in the second drop-down menu
  • Set the UL Gain to a higher value (the max value is 252), then save your setting by pressing the SET button.
  • Test your phone, then repeat the same process after switching to Speaker from Receiver for the loud speaker mode volume settings.

Compatible with eSIM ?

I'm hoping to receive an answer this support question for Umidigi A5 Pro.
I creating a ticket with official Umidigi Support but never received an answer.
Does the A5 Pro support eSIM - (embedded-SIM) ?
Why can't Umidigi find this technical info . . .

At least 2 serious errors from the beginning - scrolling in the Play Store and call volume. Will anyone deal with this at all?

The crDroid indicates a problem with the call volume. That's right, the damage isn't fixed.

I've noticed the google play error also, but as I come from the EU ROM and there was a known call volume error, I haven't noticed it

Hi tidal !

Scrolling error in the Play Store is reflected in both versions - EU and Global. The call volume is very low, my setting is 100%. We also have an A7 Pro and A9 Pro, the call volume is fine (setting about 1/3), scrolling in the Play Store also works. Of course, it's already Android 10.

Hi Marian,

maybe I didn't explain myself well. I've noticed the google play bug (I didn't noticed in EU version, but maybe it's my fault) I also have noticed the volume bug, but as I was using the EU version before, I haven't consider it as a bug (but of course, it is)
