Is anybody having problems with internet speed over network (4G)? It drops frequently, and it's damn slow. I've tested with ookla this phone and an Samsung Galaxy S7 (released in february 2016), and Umidigi speed IT'S FOOOOOOKING SLOW LIKE A FOOKING PIECE OF SHIT! It's like 20-30Mbps (S7) vs 3-7Mbps for Umi S5 Pro. I have changed my sim after noticing frequent network signal drops. The signal doesn't drops anymore from 4G to G and then to E, but the actual speed IT'S A F |_| K I N G SHAME!

I know they said a fix was in this update for FingerPrint scanning,  but I can't see where or how.   I've put in 3 fingerprints for my Thumb (To increase chances of it working), but it still fails to register.  9 out of 10 times my phone can't read my fingerprint?

Prior to the firmware update my fingerprint was actually being registered more accurately and would fail maybe only 2 out of 10 times.

Current list of outstanding issues:

1.  Fix Fingerprint reading correctly
2.  Fix Autofocus on Macro Photos and 4K recording
3.  Fix Audio Syncing When Recording Video
4.  Provide a Modem update for UK (Or update the one on phone to correctly sync with 4G) it's horrible being bounced to 3G in a 4G area (Yes I've set 4G as preferred option).
5. Add WIFI calling ability
6. Make phone certified for Widevine L1 so players like NetFlix can be used at 1080p

Honestly these are simple fixes, and could be completed very quickly, it is a shame.

Hi, I gave getting this twrp flashed, but it is not working.  Recovery just goes black screen then phone reboots.

Any ideas?

Here are my actual speeds. The highest speeds were obtained outside (as expected), but these 3 videos are for the indoor speeds tests, phones being next to each other on my desk. You can see that there is no network low LTE performance for Galaxy S7. Please reconsider it. I'll do my best to select my words from now on.

hi,

developer options/theming/accent color does not change color at all, it stay at the default blue color by default. the option was working on my f2.

So if I understand correctly. The TWRP version that works for this S5 Pro is the same version used on the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro. So, could we flash A MIUI Rom on the S5 Pro? Or maybe any other ROM that works on the same chipset [MTK G90T].
I'm new to UMIDIGI. It has all the bands needed to work on US T-Molbile. I'm waiting for the phone to come in. I currrently use the ONEplus 7 Pro  Mclaren Edition. Nice phone but the curved screen I hate

Hello bencebacsi! I think I owe you my appologies. It is indeed my carrier low performance over LTE. I swaped my current SIM card with the one from my other phone (Samsung Galaxy S7 / Orange Romania) and got surprinsingly good results. The speeds within the orange box are on Orange LTE, and the 2 from the red box are Vodafone speeds. Funny how 3G speeds from Vodafone are better than 4G...

Android 10 gestures did not work with 3rd party launchers like Smart Launcher. I've seen it should be fixed by firmware update. Unfortunately this release does not fix it.

Hi everyone,


After few days of work with phone I didn't notice any major bug, except one, fingerprint. It's not working. Is so unreliable that I was force to deactive functionality. When for 10 attemps I got 1-2 success, long time to unlock.


So, absolut priority is to fix this.


I will test more and see if I found sometihing more. I see some not correct translation into my language (Polish) but with this I can live.


Major bug:
1. Fingerprint unlock performance and reliability improved
Minor bug: UPDATE 08.08.2020 (point 4 updated)
1. It happens that after reboot of phone I lose setting of gesture and nagivation bar is back. I need then to set up this once again.
2. Very slow open of app when you use option "app lock" and pattern to unlock. With fingerprint option to unlock, application open faster but till fingerprint will not be improved it's hard to use that option.
3. I don't see option The Navigation  bar -> custom Background Color Setting that is mentioned in few posts. I tried to search in settings and with that I see that it found it but when I tap to go in, there is nothing
4. Lockscreen not waking up on all notifications, e.g when I receive SMS it wake up and I see message on screen. When I get mail on both app (I have separate for gmail, seperate for others mailbox) I get only sound notification but screen doesn't wake up, also same situation with Whatsapp. 4.1. It seems that settings Display->Look screen display->New notifications, doesn't work properly. It doesn't matter if it is switch on or off, when I receive message, screen always wake up.
Improvements: UPDATE 08.08.2020 (point 5)
1. Make phone certified for Widevine L1
2. Possibility to set up animation of fingerprint reader to notify about unanswered messages. With option to set up on choosen application (marcoos idea that I really like)
3. Translation (Polish) - In option Settings->Display->Screen Color Mode there is incorrect translation. There is "Tryn koloru ekranu". It should be "Tryb koloru ekranu".
4. Translation (Polish) - In option Settings-> About Phone-> Features, when you go into one of them at the bottom there is option "Open". In Polish there is "Zużyć niezwłocznie" that is very bad translation;) It should be "Uruchom".
5. Please add possiblity to double tap to wake up screen when it's lock. It's work to wake fingerprint animation but it could also work to wake up whole screen. It should be possible to set up differently in settings e.g. tap twice to show only fingerprint lock, tap twice to wake up screen
