This is the SP Flash Tool release of the

V1.0_20200506.V3.12 system software

for UMIDIGI F2

European version for EEA countries

Flash tool operation is recommended to experienced users only. If you are not yet an experienced flash tool user, please carefully read the flash tool tutorial before proceeding, and strictly follow each instruction.

Except if an authorized or responsible expert directly asked you to do that,

never format the flash chip of your device or you instantly lose your warranty!

UMIDIGI F2 receives all updates automatically via FOTA method. You need this tool only in case of emergency (if you've bricked your phone), if you want to apply a clean install or if you want to clear all root access and custom recovery to make your phone able to receive FOTA updates again. Moreover, flashing with SPFT is the only option to repair (replace) damaged system software.

Extract the .rar file before use. The scatter file (MT6771_Android_scatter.txt) is inside the extracted folder, together with the other components

VCOM driver: Windows 10 can automatically install it. Please make sure that your Windows is logged in with administrator rights and your computer has a working internet connection when first time connecting your phone.

Here's an optional solution to start the flashing process on your UMIDIGI F2 if the standard method doesn't work.

It's especially useful if your phone is bricked or is stuck in bootloop

1. Connect your UMIDIGI F2 to USB.

2. Start the flashing process with the Download button in the flasher app.

3. Press and keep pressed the power button of your phone until the flashing process starts (red bar appears at the bottom of the app window), then release it. In this process you have to keep the power button pressed for about 10 seconds.

4. Wait until the flashing process finishes.

Kind request from users:
Please report any kind of new issues you experience after installing this update only if you've already flashed this ROM with SP Flash Tool in Firmware Upgrade mode. In rare cases a FOTA update can cause more or less serious malfunctions but that means only the update process went wrong, not a badly developed ROM. An updated stock ROM, especially related to the basic functions will not cause any new issues but will solve some of the existing ones.

Tried to deny mic permissions and uninstall Google and Android Auto apps, mic still not working

UMIDIGI NOW IT'S TIME TO ACT!

F2 is having such serious software (?) problems that the device is more or less unusable:

- Mic not working anymore
- Finger print sensor is gone
- Latest update (20200506) was a downgrade to phone overall performance.  Eg. Chrome browser is having some freezing issues etc.

Question for Umidigi staff: What would you do if your phone's mic all of the sudden would be gone? Happy?

Use the same version that you have installed on your phone. You have the latest global, not the EEA version installed on your phone.

You can set (flash) a permanent MAC address with SN Writer. Please visit the page below for the needed resources and a tutorial.

Please see paragraph 3. in the tutorial. On the System Config page make only the Wifi Address option checked to make an automatically generated or manually entered MAC address flashed. After a successful flashing, your phone will permanently keep the given MAC address.

WIFI switches itself off for no reason. You must then activate it manually. This problem was also present in previous firmware versions.

1) Fix issue of undeleted annoying message in SETTINGS, like GMail reminder (com.android.settings.intelligence)
2) Mic is very low when call with speaker

I ain't got no touch id option since i updated...

In the menu, it only allow me to put face ID or a code/drawing...

Still the microphone does not work anymore. I need to use a headset to make or receive calls. The problem appeared with the previous update and was reported by me in the comments. But still no fix for this issue.
This is very annoying!

I already copied the file to the phone internal memory but when i'm selecting file it says it can't find any .zip file.
Is there any specific folder where the file should be?
