New here and just purchased my S5 pro but unsure how to transfer files to and from my computer using the USB cable, if somebody could please explain to me what I have to do I will be very appreciative. Thank you.

1) With a USB cable, connect your phone to your computer.
2) On your phone, tap the "Charging this device via USB" notification.
3) Under "Use USB for," select File Transfer.

I did connect my new S5 Pro with laptop, but I did not see any notification as you said on No. 2. I also followed UMI instruction to download/install MTK SO driver, but I cannot launch it either.  Post time 2020-11-27 22:53

Hello,
I have a new UMIDIGI S5 Pro phone and I have a problem with it.
When you turn on NFC, you'll see a warning:
No supported application available for this NFC tag.
Google Pay application is installed, payment card added. NFC does not communicate with the application.
Can you solve this problem by updating the software?

NFC with Google Pay works for me on Umidigi S5 normally. Check the permissions for the Google Pay application. Or try Hard Reset.

The Google Pay Application has all permissions.
I also tried a factory reset, and still do the same.
The Google Pay Application, when opened, shows that everything is set up and you just need to attach your mobile phone to the reader. However, the phone does not respond and still reports when NFC is turned on:
No supported application available for this NFC tag.

This should be a warning that a contactless payment card is trying to connect to the phone via NFC. Don't have a payment sticker on your phone?

A couple of days ago I bought a S5 Pro. First impression is good for the hardware, but software is far from being finished.

It will be hard to describe all bugs and lost options not included in the stock Android. To be short I only will describe the most important faults.

The 5GHz WiFi band is unusable if you are a few meters away from the AP, or if there is a normal wall among the S5 and the AP. The 2.5 GHz band works OK, but I don't use it because of the over saturation in this band.

There are not options to setup the VOLTE or the Voice over WiFi.

There is neither a normal lancher nor even a way to create a folder in the desktop.

There is no way to disable the screen wake up, I spend most of the time switching it off manually.

There was distributed only one android security update and bugs corrections. From first of July to the end of October there was not any OTA update. It looks like the movil will not be supported and the bugs will stay forever.

My phone is near to find the way to go back to the seller. It's a pitty, because I like the hardware, but the unfinished software and the lack of support is a must for the Umidigi flagship phone.
