Me too now. some time ago, also re-flashed/rooted recently with the "rejected" latest rom. Works great for me.

Extract the files from the ROM that you want to use and you will find the vbmeta file.

It does a factory reset, right? Did you loose your apps and data? I can't find a reliable app to backup app data without root..

Thank u ,but shouldnt the file be a patched version and not the stock?How do i patch it then!

I'm not too sure... What I believe is that if you want to just root, but keep the stock ROM you don't have to do anything. But if want to install a custom ROM, then you need to flash vbmeta... What I understood so far is that each brand has its own vbmeta file. What I don't is if you need to patch it to make it work with a custom ROM....

My plan is to root it and keep the stock ROM, but if I keep having the same problems with the Mic and fingerprint, which I strongly believe is a ROM issue (Too bad Umidigi doesn't care about customers and doesn't release a bug fix), then I will try a custom ROM. Hello, I rooted my device using this tutorial. Now I need to unroot it.
Magisk says that it can't restore the original boot img, because there isn't it. How can I do?

I applied the explanation completely and it worked for me to root the Umidigi phone, but not the full root because it is only intended for reading, not reading / writing in the system area. Is there a solution?
