I ordered and received the F2 phone but also previously purchased an F1 Play. Something I would like to have fixed is with Wi-fi calling with the F1 Play where you can choose between Wi-fi or data to place calls. With the F2 there is no choice for which preferred way to make calls. Please add this option with the next F2 update.

I have issues with how my F2 handles mesh networks and switching. I have 3 access points in a seamless 2.4/5MHz mesh network, with one SSID. Beamforming (stronger signal towards connected device) and Fast switching are both enabled. I have one AP in my bedroom, one in the kitchen and one in my living room. Bedroom and Living Room are the two opposite side of the apartment. When I am close to my building my phone picks up the Living Room signal (as it is closest to the building entrance). Then I move to my bedroom but F2 still keeps the connection to the Living Room which is actually the farthest wifi device, it does it by hugging the 2.4Mhz signal (weaker but longer range) and refuses to switch to the bedroom 5Mhz signal (stronger but range limited). The wifi bar on the phone shows 1 (dot) to max 3 bars so the signal is definitely degraded.

I tested the same scenario with my old iPhone 6s and my older OnePlus One. Both were switching to the closest device signal within 60 seconds.

If I disable and re-enable wifi on my F2 it picks up the strong 5MHz signal from the closest wifi device instantly, but if I walk away from it closer to another wifi device of the same mesh, the phone won't switch but rather degrade from 5 to 2.4 and keep the weak signal connection.

Now I do not know if this is a firmware (rom) issue or just how the hardware used in this phone or user error failing to set some network settings correctly. If anyone has any suggestion please let me know. Otherwise I just leave this here for a feedback and hopefully a new better ROM fixes it in case it's a firmware/driver issue.

Yes, seems WiFi handling is buggy with F2.  Mine disconnects from WiFi every once a while.

I received mine a while ago but OTA update to UMIDIGI_F2_V1.0_20191122 - when checking for newer updates it says I have the latest update.  Why am I not receiving these over the air?  

So far phone OK.  But audio output on 3.5mm only for calls with headset.  No playback of stereo audio.  Strange since that worked before the update.  Fingerprint still working fine.  Alarm working fine.  Wifi overall fine.  Have not tried hotspot sharing.  Bluetooth working fine.  Using in USA on T-Mobile, connected to bands 2, 4, 12, 66, 71 all on 4G LTE.  microphone works fine too.  Overall good.  

Wish I can get latest firmware OTA, and get stereo audio through 3.5mm jack.

My F2 have issue with alarm (alarm do not work, I tried all I can unsuccessfully) and with 3.5 jack (people do not ear me when I use it) all the rest work fine I think each device have is own issue ....

There are three major problems.

The setting to use the device's MAC address does not work when using Wi-Fi. A random MAC address is always used.

At the top of the Settings app, feature suggestions are displayed all the time. Cannot be hidden.

Can't get any battery consumption statistics for each app.

1. There is no way to record a conversation.
2. Poor signal strength of the cellular network. I put the same simart in F2 and in One Pro. Onet Pro shows that there is a 4G network, and F2 fluctuates between 2G and 3G.
3. Weak level Wi-Fi. Again there are two F2 phones and One Pro nearby. One Pro has no problems with the level of F2; it is a couple of divisions less.

Hello, I have updated the f2 with this rom V1.0_ 20200116.V3.09 using flash tool and the fingerprint does not work and options are disabled fingerprint and facial unlocking, without the option of being able to activate it. Is there a method to solve my problem? thanks.

There appears to be an issue with the fingerprint scanner while charging. The fingerprint scanner does not properly recognize fingerprints while charging. When disconnected from the charger, the fingerprint scanner does work properly.
