This is the SP Flash Tool + OTA release of the

Flash tool operation is recommended to experienced users only. If you are not yet an experienced flash tool user, please carefully read the flash tool tutorial before proceeding, and strictly follow each instruction.

Except if an authorized or responsible expert directly asked you to do that,

never format the flash chip of your device or you instantly lose your warranty!

UMIDIGI Power 3 receives all updates automatically via FOTA method. You need this tool only in case of emergency (if you've bricked your phone), if you want to apply a clean install or if you want to clear all root access and custom recovery to make your phone able to receive FOTA updates again. Moreover, flashing with SPFT is the only option to repair (replace) damaged system software.

Extract the .rar file before use. The scatter file (MT6771_Android_scatter.txt) is inside the extracted folder, together with the other components

VCOM driver: Windows 10 can automatically install it. Please make sure that your Windows is logged in with administrator rights and your computer has a working internet connection when first time connecting your phone.

Here's an optional solution to start the flashing process on your UMIDIGI Power 3 if the standard method doesn't work.

It's especially useful if your phone is bricked or is stuck in bootloop

1. Connect your UMIDIGI Power 3 to USB.

2. Start the flashing process with the Download button in the flasher app.

3. Press and keep pressed the power button of your phone until the flashing process starts (red bar appears at the bottom of the app window), then release it. In this process you have to keep the power button pressed for about 10 seconds.

4. Wait until the flashing process finishes.

OTA (recovery) update

Manual (local) OTA update method instructions

• Copy the downloaded .zip file to the internal storage of your phone
• Go to Settings → System → About phone → Wireless update
• Tap the 3-dot menu button in the top right corner and select Local Updates
• Brows for the ...update.zip file and select it
• Select INSTALL NOW, then OK in the Warning window. Your phone reboots into recovery, the update gets installed, then your phone boots into Android. Your updated system is ready to use.

It can update version 20200112 only

Optional method (in case if the manual OTA update gets stuck): Install from recovery

You need a microSD card (with at least 4GB capacity) installed in your phone!

• Copy the ...update.zip file to your SD card.
• Press and hold the volume-up and power buttons together until your phone restarts in the boot selector mode. It needs about 10 seconds or a little bit less if your phone was already powered off.
• Here you can move with the vol-up button and select an item with vol-down. Select Recovery.
• Your phone boots into Recovery. Now you can move with both volume buttons, and select an item with the power button.
• Move to ‘Apply update from SD card’ and select it.
• On the next screen brows for the update file and select it. The updating process will start and needs a few minutes to be finished.
• After a succcessful installation, you can read the ''Install from SD card complete.'' message and the receovery menu is available again.
• Select 'Reboot system now'. Alternatively you can perform a factory data reset here by choosing 'Wipe data/factory reset'
  

Kind request from users:
Please report any kind of new issues you experience after installing this update only if you've already flashed this ROM with SP Flash Tool in Firmware Upgrade mode. In rare cases a FOTA update can cause more or less serious malfunctions but that means only the update process went wrong, not a badly developed ROM. An updated stock ROM, especially related to the basic functions will not cause any new issues but will solve some of the existing ones.

The problem is with the sound.
Today, even with the firmware UMIDIGI_Power_3.E_V1.1_20200116_20200116-2243  installed, the easiest way to restore sound is to make a short call to any number and cancel it right away. The problem returns again after turning off the screen and turning it on again.
Request developers to expedite the solution to this problem!

I also had problems with sound. The update did not help. Other comments.
1. There is no NFC in the status bar.
2. I cannot delete the Ok, Google widget on the main screen.
3. In the camera application, I can’t configure saving to SD card.

Same problem. Rebooting and installing a new update  / UMIDIGI_Power_3.E_V1.1_20200116_20200116-2243_update.zip/  did not help. Temporarily helps a short phone call. After the stand-by mode, the problem returns.

Often the main speaker does not work. If you insert the headphones and stick out or make a call, the sound appears again

Hello.
I have the 20200116-2243 update. I'm looking for the boot.img file. Is there a place I can find the full ROM? Not just the update..but full ROM?
I'm trying to root the phone and need the boot.img to patch it using magisk. If you know of another method, please let me know.

Yesterday I noticed that when I called, the screen did not go out. only reboot helped. The proximity sensor does not respond. Checked by the program "Sensor Box for Android". After reloading earned again

What a bad phone. Today I received power 3 after 3 months. No compensation.

Issue: The phone is mute. speaker is not working. not sure what happened, after sometime it worked, but now again went silent. No sound while playing any video from google photos, youtube, or from SD card etc. No ring tone, no touch dial tone nothing. totally silent. only vibration works.

I do not seem to have these issues. But I've been trying to get root access and flashed V1.1_20200116_2148 and 20200116-2243 a couple of times. I would suggest that everyone try to do that as well. Also, I unlocked the bootloader in my quest for Root. Not sure if any of these have anything to do with the audio issues, but worth a try since I don't seem to have this issue. Attached is a screen shot of my device info. make sure it matches with yours

When I got the phone though, it was just dirty. The case was already put on. The plastic tab that covers the charging port was so dirty that it wouldn't even stick. had finger prints on it. But hey, you get what you pay for. This was my first UMIDIGI purchase and has left a bad taste in my mouth.

I need root for my daily usage. If anyone figures this out, please let me know. I've already tried the boot.img patching method. Ends up in a boot loop.Update: Follow the rooting method for F2. It works -> https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/guide-rooting-umidigi-f2-t4030407

yes.. a phone call unmutes (i realized).. but again it goes mute.. not sure a proper way to reproduce

also there is no way to disable the vibration for finger print unlock. I mean even for successful finger print unlock the phone vibrates. Even if I put the phone on silent by myself, the finger print scan vibrates upon unlock which is annoying.

I have the latest software update.

I faced phone mute issue yesterday & today again. This made my day very bad. I was not able to hear any sound from the call, no audio output from youtube video / any video be playing.. tried workaround by asking a whatsapp voice call - didnot work.

Tried a direct call (via sim network), first call was on mute. Tried 2nd time and it un-muted.

Please fix this issue asap
