This is the SP Flash Tool release of the

V1.3_20200104 system software

for UMIDIGI A3X

Flash tool operation is recommended to experienced users only. If you are not yet an experienced flash tool user, please carefully read the flash tool tutorial before proceeding, and strictly follow each instruction.

Except if an authorized or responsible expert directly asked you to do that,

never format the flash chip of your device or you instantly lose your warranty!

UMIDIGI A3X receives all updates automatically via FOTA method. You need this tool only in case of emergency (if you've bricked your phone), if you want to apply a clean install or if you want to clear all root access and custom recovery to make your phone able to receive FOTA updates again. Moreover, flashing with SPFT is the only option to repair (replace) damaged system software.

Extract the .rar file before use. The scatter file (MT6761_Android_scatter.txt) is inside the extracted folder, together with the other components

VCOM driver: Windows 10 can automatically install it. Please make sure that your Windows is logged in with administrator rights and your computer has a working internet connection when first time connecting your phone.

Here's an optional solution to start the flashing process on your UMIDIGI A3X if the standard method doesn't work.

It's especially useful if your phone is bricked or is stuck in bootloop

1. Connect your UMIDIGI A3X to USB.

2. Start the flashing process with the Download button in the flasher app.

3. Press and keep pressed the power button of your phone until the flashing process starts (red bar appears at the bottom of the app window), then release it. In this process you have to keep the power button pressed for about 10 seconds.

4. Wait until the flashing process finishes.

Kind request from users:
Please report any kind of new issues you experience after installing this update only if you've already flashed this ROM with SP Flash Tool in Firmware Upgrade mode. In rare cases a FOTA update can cause more or less serious malfunctions but that means only the update process went wrong, not a badly developed ROM. An updated stock ROM, especially related to the basic functions will not cause any new issues but will solve some of the existing ones.

UPDATE! Got my A3X in the mail!! love it, love the size, love the dark theme from Android 10, camera is nice and sharp - 'tis just the slightest bit slower than my A5 Pro as expected. I did not purchase this device expecting flagship quality or speeds and am just peachy with the slight lag opening and navigating. I have a PS3 / PS4 for my games lol..  Was not expecting the gaming performance to be so good! Call of Duty Mobile runs PERFECT - much smoother than my A5 device.. GREAT size for my hand - the A5 was getting a little cumbersome just to hold. I can get one-handed corner to corner access from this display, no more two-handed sword-phone grip! I have not given this my full rundown of tests yet - more information will follow (no, I'm not releasing benchmark numbers - get a PC if you want to benchmark something, people..). I will suggest using Evie launcher for those that would like a different feel. Also will elleviate the slight lag when opening / switching apps. I myself like to swipe down on my homescreen to access the notificiaton bar at the top. Guestuers do not accomodate in Evie for usage - you'll have a navi-bar on the bottom of your screen. I haven't found any issues with the device itself so far - and I opted for the Midnight Green color - my usual is the Space Gray, but i was feeling froggy when ordering (pun intended). In all, this device is absolutely perfect for someone that needs to use their device for, hang on for this one - a PHONE!! Absolutely perfect for the person or persons like myself that no longer am controlled by the ever growing gray bounded black-sheep of the internet world known as: "Social" Media. I was actually going to get the A3S version with the larger battery capacity - but noticed that the body size was just a tad smaller with the A3X. I was also planning to do a full top-to-bottom video review of this device sometime as well - I'll post a link when finished.

Bluetooth is always disconnecting uwatch. This is a new phone with a lot of bugs. Battery live is very poor. Only 18 hours. Google security patch update is not showing the actual version.

hey guys - i'm hoping for a stability update soon!

games run phenomenally with the game driver settings - smoother than my A5 was!!

i do have some things to report though; opening some apps require a lot of load time, i know i downgraded my performance from an A5 to the A3X, but does seem to lag a little. one thing about the title bar - will there be some revision to spacing at the top? the notch does get in the way of icons and notifications. could this be a little more streamlined? i'm kind of thinking i should have gotten the A3S instead; just for the title bar lol... sometimes when i'm going to unlock my phone, the "swipe to unlock" lettering gets kind of glitched out and isn't legible. and fingerprint sensor - going to unlock from a locked state sometimes doesn't register my fingerprint at all, forcing me to unlock via my pin.. i have both my index fingerprints set twice, to help quickly identify my finger.. but doesn't. seems to be software related, my sensor is not scratched or impaired in any way.

update received!!

got a notification for my A3X that there was an update - applied and now way smoother! THANK YOU!!

opening apps has been really smoothed out and gameplay as well. actually, i've taken out some of the games from the game mode and they still run just as smooth! no issues with connectivity with bluetooth, wifi, or cell data. although.. when opening Settings, there's always a sticky notification at the top that wants me to add another email address, which i have; and wants me to setup my Pixel (strange), which i have as well. i have seen this on my past Umidigi devices but after swiping them to the left / right, they disappear and don't seem to come back. not too sure if that's something that is just with the Android 10 devices or not at this time. this is the only Android 10 device i've owned so far. i have been thinking about getting the F2 or the Power3.. kind of leaning toward the Power3 - but this phone fits so perfectly well in my hand! anyway, so far so good! no issues with the system or anything yet.

side note: not really a big deal to me; the camera kind of lags when taking a picture with either anti-shake or ZSD enabled. just have to hold in the same spot till the camera refreshes - but only with those two enabled.

did you receive the latest Wireless Update?

the update fixed quite a bit of system issues and stability.

try this...

backup all of your data and perform a wipe. make sure you sign out of your Google accounts before wiping the device though; if you don't, the Google account stuff will come back and potentially drop the bad software back on your phone that is causing the issues.

if wiping the phone doesn't work - try downloading the full OS from above, with the SP flash tool. DO NOT FORMAT. if you do that, you'll have even more issues. install and set back up.

the dafit app on my phone is being throttled by the DuraSpeed app in Settings. scroll down and see if dafit is not checked - i'm assuming it isn't - check the little radio button for dafit to always be active and not sleep, and that should fix your problem. if not.. try the above - just thought of this and don't want to edit lol
