Hello admin,  the latest V1.0_20200106.V3.08 system software bring new sound issue for in ear piece. Immediately right after the update, all the sound I hear through my earpiece is of Low quality and clarity, please fix this. P.s My earpiece is working fine on my other devices.

Hi,

The built-in top-front speaker is called 'ear piece' but according to your description ("working fine on my other devices") you mean a headset. Still not clear whether it's a pair of wired or bluetooth headset. Neither the ear piece speaker, a connected wired headset nor a bluetooth headset have any sound issues with this software release. The sound quality through the 3.5mm jack socket is extraordinary good. So that issue must be present only at you but without letting us know such basic details (what exactly has an issue and in what conditions), I can not help you.

If you are having issues with the update backup your data and reset your phone to factory ROM to see if you still have issues.

Always backup before you do any updates, and always make sre you have a backup of your ROM and data, or do an ADB backup and grab a copy of the stock.

I have this same problem, i am on the same network as my tV and my firestick, yet others who have different phones can connect. I have tried on my F1 too, same issue connecting to smart TVs, but it does see the XBOX ONE . Even my older Samsung I can cast from Chrome using Youtube, on the F1 Play and the F2 , I cannot, even trying 3rd party apps. Not sure why, but seems to be an isssue somewhere. Cannot say the update on either broke it, it has never worked on my tv with either of my Umidigis

Hello Admin,

Yes it is the wired headset connected to the 3.5mm that is having the issue. I went to factory reset to find out where is the source of the sound issue and i found out that by disabling the touch sound under the sound setting, it causes sound distortion with lower sound quality. I have to enable back to get back the usual sound quality. will you be able to go and try, play some music and enable/disable the touch sound option to experience it?

Dear Admin. Is it possible to replace contacts and dialer apps with Google LLC versions from google play? Anti-spam feature would be very useful in daily use.

Also, there are issues with right navigation button:
1) sometimes minimized apps freeze on close, so they reappear after you close them in running apps list, until you open a new one;
2) sometimes app doesn't appear in the running apps list on minimize (it just disappears), until you open a new one.

I have already pointed out this issue in another thread. @bencebacsi hasn't acknowledged or responded, but it'a a real problem.

The actual issue is that com.android.musicfx is being used as an equalizer for speaker and headset, but hasn't been properly defined as a system service in Android. So, the memory manager can kill off the app. Unfortunately, this means the hardware settings are not changed when something is plugged into the headphone jack.

There is no "fix" as of yet. You will definitely experience this issue again. So far, what I can tell you:
1. Disable Duraspeed and do not ever enable it. Duraspeed will kill the musicfx app from RAM.
2. If you experience the issue agian, Unplug your headphones and do a full hardware reboot of the phone (power button + volume down)
3. If it is still not fixed after reboot, turn BesLoudness on and off again, or touch sounds on and off, before plugging in your headphones

By the way, you'll also notice that when com.android.musicfx is running properly, the bass from the speaker and headphones will be much deeper and louder. When the sound is flatter, musicfx has crashed or has been ended - and then when you reboot the phone, the low quality sound occurs.

You know the worst thing? When the low quality sound happens, even a factory reset will not fix it because it does not fully reboot the phone. Sucks!
