pls, what difference between the v1.6 and v1.6(EU)?

Hi prinako !

Almost none. I can't describe it exactly, but the EU version guarantees the functionality of a mobile phone within Europe, or this version of Android is intended for the European market.

Hi,

- So does it mean that if I have the global version, I can encounter any problems when using the phone in Europe?
- Can you explain please?
- What is the best version to have if I want to use in in EU and also outside the EU, and why?

Thank you

Hi tori11 !

The Global and EU versions are the same.
In addition to being fully operational in Europe, the manufacturer accepts EEA conditions and is EU certified.
The global version will also work in the EU.

What is the EEA - at the top of each page for the ROM version: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/European_Economic_Area

So if both version the EU and the Global are the same, ans both work properly all over the world, both in the EU and outside it...
So why are there exactly two versions??  There must be any difference..
If there is not, so they all could be called EU version or Global version..The factory accept the EEU regulation just for the EU version? Why didn't is accept it for all if it is the same anyway?
What is there in those regulation that is not exist in the Global version?
Something is missing me he at the logic of that.
Would you please clrufy?
Thanks

Hi tori11 !

There can be no differences between the versions. Both versions have the same features.

I have not studied the business conditions of the EU or other countries, but it certainly depends on the conditions of Google. Provides Android.

A simple example is Hu ... i, who did not get a license from Google for the phone model. If Google does not license Europe, then the manufacturer cannot sell an Android mobile phone in Europe. It can work, but no one in the EU will fix it and give a guarantee.

What version was on the phone when you bought it? What are you thinking about ? Do you move around the world?

Marian_M,
I have the Global version' because I was afraid that the EU version will not work property outside Europe, since I want to use it IN EU and outside it. Yes, I travel around the world frequently (actually not really during the last two month when we all are almost grounded) .
In general  I think that the Umidigi phones are very good especially due to their cost effective.
Meanwhile I did not encounter any problem using them everywhere.
The only problem I found is that as the time passes the screen dims and get darker, I mean  that you have to  set it on a brighter screen level to get the same brightness level It showed months ago on a lower brightness level. So it gets harder to watch it in full sun.
