Support from Umidigi is acceptable. I miss a manufacturer representative who can respond to user issues. From one place to solve problems around the world, it probably does not work.
The Android security update of June 2019 is not a problem. The Android core is managed by Google, and the functionality of the phone model system is modified by the manufacturer. The system on mobile phones does not function as the operating system on a PC. OS for PC contains many drivers, so it is usable for different PCs.

I have an opinion on the big manufacturers (S ... g, X ... i, H ... i, L ... o) - no, I don't want. I have experience and in three years I have replaced 7 phones. Everyone had a mistake or went wrong. Large manufacturers cram into the mobile SW to suit as many users as possible. The global version is the easiest way to flood the world.
Some manufacturers guarantee regular updates (Android One group), but Android is managed by Google.

I have experience with X ... i A2 Lite, pure Android 9, two types of displays. One type of display supported DT2W. Due to emerging problems and dissatisfaction of users who did not have a display type with DT2W, the manufacturer canceled this function. The superstructure from the manufacturer is intended to improve the comfort of the mobile phone, not to annoy the user. I have experience with MiUI 11, where 50% of applications are not used and cannot be removed. EMUI, Vibe UI, ... it's the same, stuffy application.

That's why I chose Umidigi with pure Android. The manufacturer is not responding, but I think he can hear.

I record 2 problems that have appeared. Brightness adjustment problem and automatic Turning night mode on / off according to sunset and sunrise.

The brightness setting has a small luminance range, but it is too bright in low light conditions. From 0 - 50% of the display illumination the difference is very small.
Night mode depends on sunrise and sunset only when the position is on. If my position is off, the mode will not turn on or off. I have to do this every day, turn on the position at least for a while. I think that night mode should remember my location permanently. If I’m traveling, I’ll update my location when I change my time zone.

Yes, the brightness slider in the A5 Pro rom has issue. I use the one that's on the Microsoft Launcher have a correct brightness setting.

Another bug in the system.
If the phone is connected to the PC (USB), the file transfer is activated every time the phone wakes up. I tried - No file transfer, I just wanted to charge. When you wake up, file transfer starts.

You are not writing which version 1.6 you have. This is the new version (upgrade) - E v1.6_20200102 available today. Maybe it will help. If not, reset the phone.

I have version 1.6.  Reset doesn't help.  installing the flash tool doesn't help either.  I don't know what to do to make it work well
