Hi,
I note that on this forum the questions remain unanswered !!!
I wonder if the manufacturer is looking at the anomalies that buyers are experiencing. But i think not !!!

1 - The app for taking photos has still disappeared from the list of applications. It is no longer installed on the device.
2 - many applications crash regularly (with sending error reports for some). Restarting doesn't solve anything.

I guess the hard part of my device is faulty. The memory is certainly faulty. I can't prove it. But I am convinced of that.

How can we reach the support of the manufacturer?
What is the procedure for sending the device back to the manufacturer?

If I find the address of the manager of the sales department, I would make it my duty to send him this very bad smartphone.
If I can't find his address, I'm definitely going to destroy that smartphone that's destroying my life!

I wonder if other people who notice anomalies with this type A5PRO have obtained answers and solutions to use their smartphone serenely?

I will do my best to make sure that none of my friends buy a device from this manufacturer.

Hi noelblanc !

All the mistakes you describe don't show up with me. I believe this is unpleasant. Similar behavior is a disease of any device that has software in it. It does not matter whether TV, smartphone, home theater, ....
Umidigi does not appear in the forum, but some bugs have been fixed and some have occurred. I have not experienced a problem with fingerprint security and the display spontaneously turning off while on the phone. I think the error is fixed. The problem arose with the night mode, once it works and sometimes not. I set night mode from sunset to sunrise.
I don't know how to help you, but try re-uploading the ROM via SP Flash Tool.

If I had to buy Umidigi smartphone again - no. My phone works and ... (reason - price). The manufacturer's forum is just to make it. It contains a lot of spam and no response from the manufacturer.

It's true that I'm very angry.
In my opinion:
- The hardware part of the A5PRO is correct for the price.
- The anomalies are software related.

UMIDIGI needs to correct these anomalies.

I was able to figure out how to join the technical support. It is not intuitive or easy to understand the procedure.
It was difficult for me to find the page:

I also learn from this video that we can have a menu for tests if we "dial": *#*#3646633*#*#
It's a different test menu than you get with the boot factory (and also allows you to flash the ROM)

I now have a "Help Center/Support/TICKET-7958" ticket. I can check the progress of his treatment with UMIDIGI. Currently "Status:
Waiting for support"

One question: Since the latest version" ... V1.6..." is activated with "fota" what is the advantage of activating it with "flash tool"?

Hi noelblanc !

In the introduction - installation descriptions ... it is stated that the upgrade installation may fail.
Upgrading via FOTA or Flash is the same. Umidigi offers the whole ROM in the current version, which means you can upload the whole system directly to your mobile. It will simply remove the original system (possibly damaged) and load it with the new system without damage. It's something like Factory reset.

I installed the latest 1.6 euro upgrade and OTA I have a problem with the fingerprint and the lock does not work and does anyone else have this problem? Is there a zip fix that does anyone know about this?

Hi tomas.d!
This version has fixed a fingerprint issue where the screen automatically turned off while on the phone and could not be unlocked.
If you have used your fingerprint before, try removing the fingerprint or changing the way your phone is locked. You can restart and re-add your fingerprint. It is possible that the original fingerprint was "damaged" by the repair.

My UMIDIGI A5 Pro stop al services, play store, and it get off after that only show umigigi logo.  I have never been able to use it.

hi, I have a umidigi a5 pro. i never have been able to use it. the phone stop the play services, google play, cameral, all and then it get off and turn on in the umidigi logo. I install de last update, I write to unidigi and sead that need to flashed with the rom, I follow all step y the phone is the same. Do you have any solution for that.

I'm lucky or there's a problem somewhere else. My phone works normally.
After updating, your phone starts up a little differently. First the big Umidigi logo comes up, then in my language it says "Starting Anroid". Then a small Umidigi logo pops up and the phone is running. I have no problem.
If the problem persists, try Factory Reset directly over the phone : https://www.hardreset.info/devices/umidigi/umidigi-a5-pro/

If this does not help, upload the entire Android system in its current version via the SP Flash Tool as described at the beginning of the forum. Not even that, then I don't know anymore ...

Usually the problems are fixed.

I'm having the same problem with the applications, it keeps crashing all the time... I don't know what to do.
