Hi! After reset stock rom via SP Flash Tools and using the [Format all + Download] option, it won't let me connect to the Wi-Fi, log in to my Google account or set any PIN/Password. What do I need to do? Thanks in advance.

Hello Ben,

I have Umidigi F2 EU Version and since the beginning I have problems with the fingerprint. I can easily configure 1 or 2 or more fingerprints, but When I try to use it, either to unlock the phone or to use on apps, the fingerprint recognition fails about 95% of the times. That basically means that I'm forced to disable this function. I strongly believe this is a ROM issue rather than a hardware problem.

My ROM version is UMIDIGI_F2_E_V1.0_20200324_20200506-2129 and there's no other updates..

Could this process fix my fingerprint problem? Thank You.

Please, anyone that could help me? I would be glad to pay 15 bucks to get my phone back to its previous state, but Im not sure if my problem will solve with this method.

As per stated at the following tutorial, you should never use the option Format All + Download.... You loose everything!!

Format All + Download - NEVER USE IT!!! Not even if you get an error message in the flash tool that asks you to flash with formatting! This mode will format not only the partitions loaded from your ROM package but the whole flash chip, so even such hidden partitions like the nvram will be erased. As a result, you'll lose your IMEI numbers or even some functionality of the hardware, and you might not be able to recover everything. Flashing in Format All + Download mode will automatically void your warranty! You can use this mode only if your device is bricked (can't even power on), in very special cases if an authorized expert specifically instructed YOU to do that. Never experiment with this mode!
You can find some solutions HERE that may help you recover your lost IMEI numbers, Google key and Tee data (depending on your specific phone model) after a full flash format.

Hi,
There can be micro damages (or any other lesions) on your skin that may significantly reduce the effectiveness of the fingerprint scanner.
1. Try to use other fingers.
2. Ask someone else to test the fingerprint scanner of your phone.
3. If still no success, flash the latest ROM with SPFT in firmware upgrade mode.
4. If still no success, your fingerprint scanner might be hardware defective, needs to get repaired.

I have the same problem, and that's after buying the $15 google key and attestation file.

The problem is that Google Play Services is locking down your phone. If you root the device and remove anything Google related, it'll work (not the PIN/Password, though). This means running Android completely out of the Google ecosystem.

You can test this without rooting. If you're in "Airplane Mode" and haven't set a password or pin, it won't lock you out. If you use the phone without ever letting the display turn off, then you can use some google apps while connected to the internet, but this isn't always true.

Solution, buy a new phone. I went with repairing a Pixel 3xl, shinny new

Hello,

I had tried different fingers before and I'm able to set up the fingerprint for any finger with no problems and it works for a few hours or a day. After that it just stops working...

Recently, I've asked a friend to set up his fingerprint on and the result was the same. It worked well at the beginning but stopped working the day after.

I already have the latest ROM. Can I still flash it with SPFT in firmware upgrade mode? Since it's done on upgrade mode I won't loose my data, right?
