Hello - are there any umi people on this board?

I am trying to organise a replacement phone, or refund however am ignored by umidigi on their aliexpress store.

My A5 will not turn on and is totally useless. It was charging (using the cable the device came with) and simply turned off.

For weeks I've had sporadic help from Umidigi technical and ali store. For a phone   that was 8 weeks old when it broke I am only offered a solution of sending the phone to them at my own expense, or sending t to a local repair shop at my expense. Both of these options would  mean the cost to fix would exceed the cost of the phone.

Surely with such a new device a replacement or full refund would be appropriate for such a new device?

The aliexpress umidigi store will reply to 1 message then ignore any replies. Is this the sort of thing to expect from this company?It's appalling, particularly when they start their correspondence with 'we are committed to customer service'

I really like the A5 but Umidigi need to step up and help their customers. This is the 4th phone I've bought from them, the first I've had problems with and was hoping fro some sort of customer service.

I purchased a UMIDIGI A5 PRO on Dec.03 2019 through the official Aliexpress store, I received on 31.dec.19
after five days of use, I have a trouble to turning it on.
I tried to let it charge for about 3 hours and still no sign of life.(but warms up in the upper back area and i think that usb charging port is working)
When I connect it to any computer, windows downloads mediatek drivers (mediatek usb & PreLoader) but still has no sign of device life.

I trying to contact with the store, but no response,
I'm sure that Umdigi service stuff knows about this problem for their phones, but won't confess
It is the worst spent 100 usd

i bought (2) a5-pros about a month apart.....both orders are having a problem with the screen blacking out while trying to place a call....then you have to force-restart the phone to get it to work again....then later it does it again....a few times a day....a ticket through umidigi tech support has been started....TICKET-4144....it does not seem as though they have come to a solution for this and are writing about the need to send it back to shenzhen.....neither the US government nor the Chinese government are subsidizing return shipping like they do the initial outbound shipping.....and tracking based shipping will cost about $50US....i am sorry, but the phones are not working right, and from what i am reading in the forum this phone is having many types of problems....and the statement above is my experience as well with the aliexpress official umidigi store....NO RESPONSE....these were my 3rd and 4th umidigi phones....and a surprise there is no better option for repairs/replacement/refund

I have the same problem, The phone seems to totally lock while I make a phone call. I can't end a phone call in any way. This all goes away if the person on the other side ends the phone call or if you are automatically disconnected. Note: I think the screen doesn't lock if you make a WhatsApp phonecall. Anyways I hope they will fix it soon since it is a software malfunction.

Well Umidigi - you excel yourself at appalling customer service .

Multiple times I get a response from your store and the promise to sort out my problem.

Then 'support' try and work me through trouble shooting, but in reality just looking for some way to blame me for the  failed phone, then close the ticket as I 'haven't responded', which of course is false.

And of course the umidigi store refuses to reply and my messages remain 'unread' despite from their previous efforts they have read.

Seriously - your phones are a good, budget product. Sometime they will fail. You need to support your customers and replace the faulty product.

What is so hard???

I also have a problem with my A5 Pro, it is completely dead and I write on Aliexpress but they don't answer, then I write to the assistance and they communicate with the seller ......

Despite everything, still no one has solved the problem for me .....

Welcome to the club! Umidigi are an absolute joke - it's fine to have budget products at a budget price and for what they are I reckon thy're good value.

But you can't just ignore, fob off, disregard and lie to your customers  and then pretend you want to help. Seriously poor form!

First time in my life i can afford a bigger screen phone ( swapped from iphone s4 ) and after 20 days of use today its gone after connecting to a charger. Any possible fix? Please respond

Thought worth starting a thread for owners of the new Umidigi F1

Cracking phone for the money, few quirks and things I'd like (new Google Camera port that works for example!)

Replaced the dialer with a newer version to get floating bubbles, also installed Glimpse since I miss my ambient display but otherwise very happy with the phone!

My umidigi a5 pro is just completely bricked, worked great for about 3 weeks then started charging slowly, after that not charging at all, and now it's dead and i can't turn it on but i am able to charge it..??? I can't seem to get any help from support and it's just really fucking frustrating, what am i supposed to do?

Sadly don't expect much from them. They used to participate here a little but seemingly no longer.

I finally thought I had been offered a solution to my dead phone : the promise from umidigi support to contact the umidigi store and instruct them to replace my near new dead phone. Couldn't believe after constant brick wall, blame the customer efforts.

Of course it was too good to be true. They offered their solution of me paying to get it fixed once again! Pure gold class customer focussed effort umidigi!!

And of course since then no communication from them at all after pointing out me paying for repairs was not quite the same as replacing the phone.

Are these guys serious?
