HELLO I WISH TO SHARE MY EXPERIENCE ON THE LATEST UPDATE OF THE UMIDIGI F1 WE ARE A FRANCOPHONE COUNTRY AND I HAVE NOTE THAT THE BOKEH WORD REMAINS BOKEH instead of portrait mode AND THE ROTATION OF THE PHOTO INTERFACE IS UNSTABLE PLUS THE SHOOTING IS SLOW AND I WOULD LIKE TO REPORT THAT THE AUTOMATIC PREFERRED NETWORK TYPE MUST BE MADE (4G / 3G / 2G) AND I think THAT DURING THE CHARGE OF THE BATTERY (in OFF) HIS LOGO look LIKE the android ice cream sandwich Please take this in considerations thank you

Hi

I have an UMIDIGI F1 where I get this error when trying the Flash Tool -> Download process:
PMT changed for the ROM; it must be downloaded.
Please select "Format All + Download" scene and try again

To try to solve it I have:
  • rebooted in fastboot and runned the fastboot command: fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
  • tried the adb command from within recovery mode: adb sideload recovery.img
  • unlocked the bootloader successfully
  • with unlocked bootloader tried the Flash Tool, fastboot and adb installation procedure again

But I still get the error
   Flash_Error.jpg

Note that on the latest F1 ROM page it is stated:
If you get a ''PMT changed for the ROM...'' error message, please use the scatter file from the first ROM version, or flash your phone in Firmware Upgrade mode. Please NEVER format your phone, not even if the flasher app (or your friend, a website etc.) recommends you that! NEVER choose the Format All + Download mode!!!
I have tried all scatter files from early 2019 and that doesn't work... argghhh
Any help would be much appreciated!!!

Current ROM: UMIDIGI F1 V1.0_20190904

replace MT6771_Android_scatter.txt  file with the file of first rom update or change the line,  partition_size
  partition_size: 0x8000

to

  partition_size: 0x4200

This work for me

  I am using build UMIDIGI_F1_V1.0_20190718.
Since this update, the second update has recently appeared.
Until now, I only use wireless update.
For several weeks, I have been trying to update my phone, but I stop every time for: restarting.
I wait even an hour and then the same.
Why isn't it updating?

L'ultimo aggiornamento non funziona con il wireless. Aggiorna con download come scritto prima pagina ...

Ad ogni modo, sai cos'è un traduttore? non sai scrivere in inglese?

Hello,

I received my new F1 a few days ago, and I wanted to to update it to the latest version as I use to do for all my devices. Big error so far!

I fist tried  wireless updates, but my phone refused to update classically from online requests or through OTA, as described in this  feed. The process started and then ended inevitably with an error message.
In the end I tried the flash tool, with a flashing process (download option) going to its end with the "V" windows. Then came my disillusion. My phone refused to restart, and I went to many trials to check what has gone wrong. My phone is bricked after the first flash, and the device from then was recognized by my PC only as  "Mediatek usb port" instead of "Midiatek Preloader usb vcom" as it should if it was not bricked.

And the flashing process returns only the same error message  after more or less 5 minutes as shown in the copy screen, indicating that the ROM version is wrong or something like that.

Any help to solve my problem? I tried different ROM versions and a firmware upgrade option instead of the download version, but still with the same wrong result. Will a "format all" option have a chance to solve the deny issue? Thanks in advance.
