This is the SP Flash Tool + OTA release of the

V1.0_20190903 system software

for UMIDIGI F1 Play

Flash tool operation is recommended to experienced users only. If you are not yet an experienced flash tool user, please carefully read the flash tool tutorial before proceeding, and strictly follow each instruction.

Except if an authorized or responsible expert directly asked you to do that,

never format the flash chip of your device or you instantly lose your warranty!

UMIDIGI F1 Play receives all updates automatically via FOTA method. You need this tool only in case of emergency (if you've bricked your phone), if you want to apply a clean install or if you want to clear all root access and custom recovery to make your phone able to receive FOTA updates again. Moreover, flashing with SPFT is the only option to repair (replace) damaged system software.

The system will show UMIDIGI_F1_V1.0_20190724 as Build number after this update but the real version is V1.0_20190903

Extract the .rar file before use. The scatter file (MT6771_Android_scatter.txt) is inside the extracted folder, together with the other components

VCOM driver: Windows 10 can automatically install it. Please make sure that your Windows is logged in with administrator rights and your computer has a working internet connection when first time connecting your phone.

Here's an optional solution to start the flashing process on your UMIDIGI F1 Play if the standard method doesn't work.

It's especially useful if your phone is bricked or is stuck in bootloop

1. Connect your UMIDIGI F1 Play to USB.

2. Start the flashing process with the Download button in the flasher app.

3. Press and keep pressed the power button of your phone until the flashing process starts (red bar appears at the bottom of the app window), then release it. In this process you have to keep the power button pressed for about 10 seconds.

4. Wait until the flashing process finishes.

Kind request from users:
Please report any kind of new issues you experience after installing this update only if you've already flashed this ROM with SP Flash Tool in Firmware Upgrade mode. In rare cases a FOTA update can cause more or less serious malfunctions but that means only the update process went wrong, not a badly developed ROM. An updated stock ROM, especially related to the basic functions will not cause any new issues but will solve some of the existing ones.

Atualizem o Android 9.0 para 10, precisamos muito das atualizaçoes, a umidigi esta abandonando seus clientes essa ultima atualização fez com que meu tefone f1 play 6/64, buga a camera não funciona mais a frontal, o unico jeito de conserto é android 10.-

Bom, quero agradecer umidigi pelo telefone pra mim, o custo do produto não saiu BOM mais, o umidigi f1 play é ótimo, depois dessa atualização meu sistema não estava reconhecendo a câmera frontal, apenas a traseira quando eu clicou em troca de frente só alterna entre os dois atrás, bom resolver o problema, depois de instalar várias vezes, esta rom notei que existem pastas mediatek no armazenamento e se você reiniciar ou formatar esses arquivos auto delete, então pare de funcionar A maneira é sempre colocar os arquivos da unidade do telefone em sua pasta que está depois de 0sdcard, umidigi deveria ter me avisado que ficou mais de um mês sem câmera frontal

Well, I want to thank umidigi over the phone for me, the cost of the product didn’t come out more, the umidigi f1 play is great, after this update my system was not recognizing the front camera, only the rear one when I clicked in exchange for front it just switches between the two behind, good to solve the problem, after installing several times, this rom I noticed that there are mediatek folders in storage and if you restart or format these auto delete files, then stop working the way is to always put the files on the phone's drive in his folder which is after 0sdcard, umidigi should have told me this left more than a month without a front camera

Unfortunately, this update did not include RCS support for the F1 Play. Please enable this on the phone.  Also NFC is still not working. Please correct this too.

and then, this phone doesn't work send calling and receiving,
but text messenger is no problem.
so I would like to go back to before version, how can do it? maybe not only my problem. It means down-grade.
Now I can not use phone it would be damage to my business.
please quickly solve this problem.

This update "20190903 ROM" has serious bugs, lead to looping reboot.
I think Umidigi disabled temporary to update via OTA.

I recommend to initialize your phone before downgrade your one.

1) Download older rom.
2) Download SP flash tool.
3) Refer to the tutorial page, you choose "Firmware Upgrade" mode in section#5.

Hey moderator, what about RCS support? Why doesn't it work for this phone? And what about access to the engineering mode with this new update? I also believe my NFC problem is a hardware issue and not the software just like my finger print sensor.

I did down-grade to 20190709 from 20190903.
It was no problem, so then upgrade to 20190726, also no problem.
can calling and message, network, nfc, ... everything no problem.
I know that UMIDIGI software are problem about this phone calling software not only F1(play).
Please quickly fix it.

Regarding UMIDIGI Company

Advantages
1. great design
2. Good value for money

Disadvantages
1. TTA-VOLTE not supported
2. weak wifi signal
3. Worst A / S System-People who work on the homepage, customer center e-mails, etc. respond to the worst customers. Not improving at all.
4. No Phone Calls-September Upgrade

How can stop automatically update to new version, because of new version have very serious error.
So I don't want to update it.
