I CAN CONFIRM THAT THIS SOLUTION WORKS UMIDIGI TECH SUPPORT FAILS ON VERY SIMPLE THINGS
JUST RE ...

Hi,

Just to bring my experience about the issue for receiving calls and SMS in SIM1. In my case, I could find out that it has to do with restarting the mobile having following setups:

-Security (pattern) at startup is active
AND
-PIN is required for SIM card.

If I deactivate any of the above (or both of them) and then restart the phone, I can receive calls and SMS with no issues.

Inserting SIM card in SIM2 slot also works fine in any case.

BR.

Hi flopez !

I think there's something going on. When I unlocked the pattern security, the phone problem appeared after about a week (not 1-2 days). I have a PIN for my SIM card. I won't disturb him yet.

I confirm.

If you remove the SIM card lock and leave the screen lock, the incoming calls work after a restart !

So the cleanest solution if you use a keypad screen lock is to disable the lock of the sim! In this way to start the A5 pro only requires the screen lock code to start android and incoming calls are not blocked.

Hello dear firends, I'm new here in the forum, my name is Gabriel, I am contacting to compliment the excellent device I bought from UMIDIGI model A5 PRO, and I also want to leave a great suggestion for Software/Firmware developers, the camera app is a bit limited, I would like to suggest an upcoming upgrade with Camera / PRO Mode camera application enhancements to take control of functions such as Shutter Speed / Exposure Time (2s, 5s 16s, 32s) ISO control, EV + Exposure Compensation, Manual Focus Mode - Infinity - Macro ... Please release an update to the Camera app with these Manual / Pro Mode functions. The camera is excellent, but the camera app is very limited. Thank you very much for your attention and affection. A fan of Umidigi.

Hi Gabriel3600!
I agree with you that the camera app is missing something. I would like to add the date and time to the photo, not just watermark. I don't need additional detailed settings.
I see a problem in high battery consumption when using my mobile. I'm trying to turn off screen brightness adjustment.

I agree.
I like a settings to choose where to save my pictures. They must go to sdcard since the phone only has 32 gb onboard. But there is no way to choose.

Helllo.

I got my replacement phone about 10 days ago and so far it is an amazing phone for me.
For some reason the problems I head with slow 3g just went away. It works fine now.
It works fast and sold and yes I have been fighing android pie do make it do what I want. But thats android fault not the phone.
I am really very happy with it. The battery is great too. I just got a bad experience because the first one I got was broken.

I got one big problem and maybe some one here can help out or umidig can fix it . I really get to many missed calls because I have the notification volume on almost the lowest settings. This because I got many notifications per day and my collegues go crazy if I keep the volume up.

But when I go home or for a walk/break I usuelly forget to changevolume back up and when some one calls I do not hear it since the volume is very soft.

It seems this is normal behavior for a long time on android for some weird reason. Only samsung users (and a few other brands) get a fixed volume setting. So pls umidigi could you pls consider copying samsung and give us seperate volume for incomming calls and notifications?

Thank you very much.

a5 pro. a great phone!

I fixed it using edexposed/gravitybox and audio manager from google play.  Look for media settings.

The normal android sound settings do not get an extra slider so do not use those.

Now if only I can remove the volte / lte icons from the status bar. They push my bluetooth and wifi behind the notch.

Hi macron0 !

I agree with you that a little upgrade would deserve pure Android, and the manufacturer can also contribute to this.
Right now it's a disease of the time, we want something new and perfect quickly, but we will still be dissatisfied. Mobile phones, cars, PCs, game consoles, smart watches ... and everything goes through very fast development. With that come errors that few have corrected and improved.

I learned one and there is one adage here - For little money little music. For A5 This is not true, it's a crowded phone. He has his mistakes and his skills. I'm tired of asking, alerting, or asking the manufacturer of a refill. I just use what my mobile offers.

One more adage - If you go slow, you go further.

I am usually slow. And considering I had to wait almost 3 months to get a working phone My old phone (2014) was a tripple sim acer e700/e39 which is still working and good enough if only acer would have released android 5.1. My bank does not want me to use the bank app on 4.4 any more. That phone is fantastic.  3 sims (private, work and during vacation prepaid internet) and seperate tf card slot. These days you have to look very hard for a simple 2 sim phone that also allows a tf card at the same time.  Anyway the phone was cheap and never failed to work. I could have used it for a year more or so at least if those app makers kept their software compatible.

I do have an other issue thought that maybe some one has a fix for?

The wifi is really bad (good strong signal though) when bluetooth is on. (not even connected)
So I now turn bluetooth of if I need wifi but I was hoping for some setting somewhere that I might have missed?
