This is the SP Flash Tool release of the
V1.0_20190909 system software
for UMIDIGI S3 Pro


Flash tool operation is recommended to experienced users only. If you are not yet an experienced flash tool user, please carefully read the flash tool tutorial before proceeding, and strictly follow each instruction.

Except if an authorized or responsible expert directly asked you to do that,
never format the flash chip of your device or you instantly lose your warranty!

UMIDIGI S3 Pro receives all updates automatically via FOTA method. You need this tool only in case of emergency (if you've bricked your phone), if you want to apply a clean install or if you want to clear all root access and custom recovery to make your phone able to receive FOTA updates again. Moreover, flashing with SPFT is the only option to repair (replace) damaged system software.

  • Detailed cell broadcast (Wireless emergency alerts) settings added to the Advanced settings of the Messages app. (Complies with EEWS requirements)

The system will show UMIDIGI_S3_Pro_V1.0_20190522 as Build number after this update but the real version is V1.0_20190909

Extract the .rar file before use. The scatter file (MT6771_Android_scatter.txt) is inside the extracted folder, together with the other components


VCOM driver: Windows 10 can automatically install it. Please make sure that your Windows is logged in with administrator rights and your computer has a working internet connection when first time connecting your phone.


Here's an optional solution to start the flashing process on your UMIDIGI S3 Pro if the standard method doesn't work.
It's especially useful if your phone is bricked or is stuck in bootloop
1. Connect your UMIDIGI S3 Pro to USB.
2. Start the flashing process with the Download button in the flasher app.
3. Press and keep pressed the power button of your phone until the flashing process starts (red bar appears at the bottom of the app window), then release it. In this process you have to keep the power button pressed for about 10 seconds.
4. Wait until the flashing process finishes.


Kind request from users:
Please report any kind of new issues you experience after installing this update only if you've already flashed this ROM with SP Flash Tool in Firmware Upgrade mode. In rare cases a FOTA update can cause more or less serious malfunctions but that means only the update process went wrong, not a badly developed ROM. An updated stock ROM, especially related to the basic functions will not cause any new issues but will solve some of the existing ones.

Any news on updating the s3 pro with the latest Android security patch. The s3 is still on March 5th security patch and will Android q be coming to s3 pro as well.

After update:
Fingerprint access to applications still broken.
Bluetooth worse than before.

i feel you on bluetooth, i did factory restore. it kinda made it better but still at times can make audio cut off/static for a second or two, when im using my bluetooth earbuds.
Really one thing that annoys me is i guess cant use/change bluetooth settings (like audio codec, sample rate, bit per sample). It will always result back to stock settings shortly after leaving developer settings (when my earbuds are aptxHD capable , it results back to AAC). Had this months for several months, from upgrading a moto X4, spec for spec and battery is lovly compared to that phone. But wifi range performance and bluetooth sure is a lil bit worse/inconsistent.

I agree. I bought Umidigi F2 too, but I haven't receive it. Hope that Umidigi support will be better than S3.

Someone please tell me how to get this POS to boot back into the system. It keeps going to recovery and I cannot update or get back to the regular OS>

Updated yesterday afternoon, everything works wonderfully no problem with the touch of the smartphone at the moment. But I would like to report problems related to the camera application, by pressing the recording button in SLOW MOTION or TIME LAPSE mode, the phone takes a 10 seconds to start recording and at the moment of saving it often crashes the application . I also noticed that the Android security patches were not updated, the patches of March 5 still appear. Please update the security patches and solve the reported camera problems.

Don't do updates with an external sdcard installed ,or you will just get a recovery error

I update my S3 phone and still having problems when calling, the calling turn off without I turn Off. I put my chip in another phone and do calls perfectly. I think the problem is with the choice of network, in the phone that is ok all network in the same choice, 4G, 3G and 2G.
Bluetooth have problems.

Can you do something about this problem?
