This is the SP Flash Tool + OTA release of the

for UMIDIGI A5 Pro

European Version

Flash tool operation is recommended to experienced users only. If you are not yet an experienced flash tool user, please carefully read the flash tool tutorial before proceeding, and strictly follow each instruction.

Except if an authorized or responsible expert directly asked you to do that,

never format the flash chip of your device or you instantly lose your warranty!

UMIDIGI A5 Pro receives all updates automatically via FOTA method. You need this tool only in case of emergency (if you've bricked your phone), if you want to apply a clean install or if you want to clear all root access and custom recovery to make your phone able to receive FOTA updates again. Moreover, flashing with SPFT is the only option to repair (replace) damaged system software.

Extract the .rar file before use. The scatter file (MT6765_Android_scatter.txt) is inside the extracted folder, together with the other components

VCOM driver: Windows 10 already automatically can install it (if your computer is connected to the internet) or you can use this: MTK_Driver_Auto_Installer_SP_Drivers_20160804.exe

Here's an optional solution to start the flashing process on your UMIDIGI A5 Pro if the standard method doesn't work.

It's especially useful if your phone is bricked or is stuck in bootloop

1. Connect your UMIDIGI A5 Pro to USB.

2. Start the flashing process with the Download button in the flasher app.

3. Press and keep pressed the power button of your phone until the flashing process starts (red bar appears at the bottom of the app window), then release it. In this process you have to keep the power button pressed for about 10 seconds.

4. Wait until the flashing process finishes.

OTA (recovery) update

Manual (local) OTA update method instructions

• Copy the downloaded .zip file to the internal storage of your phone
• Go to Settings --> System --> --> Advanced --> About phone --> Wireless update
• Tap the 3-dot menu button in the top right corner and select Local Updates
• Brows for the ...update.zip file and select it
• Select INSTALL NOW, then OK in the Warning window. Your phone reboots into recovery, the update gets installed, then your phone boots into Android. Your updated system is ready to use.

Optional method (in case if the manual OTA update gets stuck): Install from recovery

You need a microSD card (with at least 4GB capacity) installed in your phone!

• Copy the ...update.zip file to your SD card.
• Press and hold the volume-up and power buttons together until your phone restarts in the boot selector mode. It needs about 10 seconds or a little bit less if your phone was already powered off.
• Here you can move with the vol-up button and select an item with vol-down. Select Recovery.
• Your phone boots into Recovery and you see a lying android figure with an exclamation mark in red triangle on its tummy + 'No command'.
• Press and hold the power and vol-up buttons (in this order) together, then release them to call the recovery menu. Now you can move with both volume buttons, and select an item with the power button.
• Move to ‘Apply update from SD card’ and select it.
• On the next screen brows for the update file and select it. The updating process will start and needs a few minutes to be finished.
• After a succcessful installation you can read the ''Install from SD card complete.'' message and the receovery menu is available again.
• Select 'Reboot system now'. Alternatively you can perform a factory data reset here by choosing 'Wipe data/factory reset'
  

Kind request from users:
Please report any kind of new issues you experience after installing this update only if you've already flashed this ROM with SP Flash Tool in Firmware Upgrade mode. In rare cases a FOTA update can cause more or less serious malfunctions but that means only the update process went wrong, not a badly developed ROM. An updated stock ROM, especially related to the basic functions will not cause any new issues but will solve some of the existing ones.

I need help. My A5 pro main camera is not working and the front camera in inverted.

*#8264# show main cam not found and shows camera has been disabled because of security policies when wide andle is selected.

My issue is when I try to update the phon version : 'UMIDIGI_A5_PRO.E_V1.3_20190716' personalize version alps-mp-p0.mp7-V2.23' with the new version proposal : ''UMIDIGI_A5_PRO.E_V1.4_20190807_20190807-1437'

The Phone restart after Charging and try to update.
But rapidely the display 'Error'

After restart in the old version :

When I use the application 'DUO by Google' I have a flashing green screen on the phone and also 'video transmission'

After this EU update 0807 still my front camera and 120 camera are not working all the time.
*#8264# sometimes shows sub cam: no find !!! all other camera's present.
It was working with the first version of the software eu 0704 and showed correct sub camera
Sometimes sub camera works for 5 minutes than it gives message: Can't connect to the camera Please make sure to close other apps that may use camera or flashlightI already did resets

Hello, I have some problems with my phone Umidigi A5 Pro.  I had flashed this firmware.

1. When I click to camera icon it appeared only front camera. When try to push rear camera botton just stop to working. In wide screen mode it wrote me that "camera has been disabled because of security policies".  I tryed some camera programs from google store and rear camera working but only some of triple cameras because don't recognised all triple cameras and the image is with reversed (with legs in the top). Flashlight didn't working.

2. When I try to delete a message that I received from some phone number, it delete all messages from this number, not one by one.

3. When I connect my wifi the icon to the top near the battery icon is just point, not normal icon for wifi. After some click lock / unlock the phone and working with it , the normal wifi icon appeared.

4. Can you add option for choosing a diffent mobile operator internet connection in the top menu. I can choose only on/off now. I changing from settings menu "Network and internet / Mobile network" and then sellect different mobile internet connection. This is not confortable.

5. Can you add option for different melody for second mobile operator?

6. When I watch videos from phone and push the power botton it stopped but when I pushed power botton again it started automaticaly. Can you make video player in pause function when i pushed the power botton again? And to start manualy. (You can look the youtube player how working).

7. There isn't icon at the top when the phone is in silent mode.

8. When I calling with somebody display make different things. Sometimes it stopped lighting when it's near to the ear but sometimes it just stopped lighting and I must to press the power boton to view the display (not every time working power botton when it is in calling mode).

9. Wake Up icon appears twice on the top next to the clock (on the left) and next to the mobile operator icon (on the right).

10. Contacts are read only and can't be deleted.

This last update for me works very well. Before that, with update EU 16-july, *#8264# show information with 3GB RAM. Now show 4G.
With camera software, I see many changes that possibilite adjust lots of parameters.

I have the non-EU 1.4 firmware installed.  It is found, not under "Settings" under either Network or Apps & Notification, either.

Found it, it's an App - wipe up to see all your Apps (depending on your Laucher, I use LawnChair) - scroll down to look for Wireless Emergency alerts, then, click upper right corner udner top status bar to open the Settings.  

Should be there - it doesn't have "all" the sub-settings & options like the Xiaomi or Huawei running stock Pie 9.0 but, better than zone.

I have EU rom and found it on "Apps and notifications" like you said. Thank you. Anyway, wrong info from umidigi, the thing is not under "Messages" settings (and probably it should be, it seems to be the logical place).

Hello, I have a Umidigi A5 Pro phone after an unsuccessful update via the 5.1728 SP Flashtool, (windows 10/64) went to the bootloop, then a green horizontal bar appeared at the top of the screen, and then the bootloop again, I just didn’t want to flash, I had to flash in "Format all +download" mode through the last SPFT 5.1916, the phone was flashed, but there were many bugs in the interface, the fingerprint scanner stopped working, it doesn’t add a Google account and many other problems, I tried different versions of the firmware, but all the firmware had the same defect, I also asked another user For backup, from backup there are exactly the same defects and problems, I don’t know where and how to dig, how can I restore the body?

UROMGI_A5_Pro.E_V1.4_20190807.rar was installed with direct ROM.
The camera has not improved at all.
In-camera is not good.
The in-camera cannot be used. Instead, the rear camera is shot upside down.
I think "UMIDIGI is not testing."

Update again andar now câmera is ok,  but if it is a Sony must bem much better. Put Anti vibration next update.
