dear umidigi: can we please have the same display drivers that were used in the European software distribution? or possibly just a revised edition of the back light? i'm noticing that full brightness of the screen brings this green line out - more so than wallpaper or apps that i was guessing in my other posts.. SORRY GUYS!

yes, already tested. but it may be caused by soket. umidigi has bad QC.
try think, if you buy onl ...

much agreed! i think i'm just going to open it up and unplug / replug the ribbon cables into place.. LOTS of chinese made tablets that we use for work (mostly because of the low price) have to be broken down and batteries disconnected from the motherboards to clear issues from a phantom power being held somewhere inhibiting other hardware from properly powering on or communicate between buses.. still - shouldn't have to go back over and fix QC issues

maybe try factory reset? i had much time to play with this thing and uh.. well, so - i twisted the phone a bit from the top and bottom. line went away! lol bad connection i'm guessing.. and now that i think about it; when i got my A3_Pro, the vibrate function did not work. so i booted into the Test mode and selected vibrate to activate the motor. the vibrate would be there, but barely moving. i smacked the phone a few times on my knee - and started the normal 'buzz' sound that phones normally make. i'm assuming there was a bit of gooey motor grease caked on the spindle.. Anyway - back to the A5; so the line is basically there when the screen brightness goes higher than like 30 percent? didn't get an accurate number from that - so don't quote me. but definitely seems to be more with the back light - i'm gonna say software related IN the system itself; cause i don't see this when the phone is booting. not once did i see a green line when the phone was on the 'UMIDIGI' booting logo. still would like some input from the Devs or possibly Ben? BTW sorry for blowing your e-mail inbox up..

I have two A5 pro phones, one works fine, but the other has problems with both SIM slots.

SIM slot 1 can make calls but does not receive most incoming calls. SIM slot 2 is the opposite - a few more calls get through, but I can't phone out. Text messages seem to arrive on both slots.

Slot 1 is stuck on Edge with very occasional G or 3G appearing, while Slot 2 is on 3G for longer, dropping to E about half the time. My other phone is constantly on 4G. Both phones have the latest (1.4) firmware.

I see the problematic SIM situation has been mentioned by several recent reviewers at Kimovil, so it seems widespread.

Can anyone please suggest possible solutions?

or use GOOGLE

OR - and here's a thought - ask the company that made the device; and that has guides to root their devices, but no supported list of devices that are confirmed working after root and no bricks. Get the point there, guy? Use that brain you got up in that melon
