okay - performed flash via flash tool.. line still coming back. wtf.

can we get any responses from Umidigi? i'm kinda talking to no one here - while having a real issue with your device.

Hello....i want to ask....is it possible to instal ROM from other Umidigi phone ex: umidigi Z2? Because with latest update still cannot use selfie camera and wide angle camera. Any experience? Please advice.....

yes, already tested. but it may be caused by soket. umidigi has bad QC.
try think, if you buy online umidigi from china, and then you got phone problem (like me, i got line on screen), may you have think twice for sending back to china. becouse you will spend much money for this.

Yes. I really wanted my phone to work to. Tried every thing but I had to send it back in the end.
My phone did not have the lines and the camera's seemed to work too.  But it simply crashes all the time.

I flashed 1.2, 1.3 and 1.4 but no help. I suspect bad cpu or bad memory but in any case a totally not usable phone.

But I bought my phone in in China via dx.com (Deal Extreme) and even though they are pretty slow they do repsond  They promised me to pay back the shipping costs !! on condition that I did not break the phone my self.  Thats saves me 27 euro's I also bought with with customs insurance which I needed coz my phone got intercepted. That also saved me 31 euro.

But buying in China can take lots and lots of time.

okay i think i know what you're saying now - i tried to flash 1.2 firmware and almost crapped myself when the phone booted but screen was completely BLACK.. then a few seconds later a bunch of the lines started to appear on the right side of the display.. i immediately tried every button combo i could think of to just shut the phone down but finally managed to get it completely powered down.. flashed the 1.3 firmware and screen came back just fine, and i could change my underwear safely at this point. . my question about the software from the Z2 - does it work if you flash the A5 with that firmware??? if so has anyone had any issues with lines and cameras? just wondering why we haven't gotten any updates about this yet. i didn't even want to try the 1.1 firmware because of what happened with the 1.2 flash. . . please let me know if other firmwares can be used for this! (SAFELY)

btw does anyone know if there are custom roms for this device? that was really bizarre that 1.2 firmware blacked the screen and gave some lines (obviously driver issues) upon startup. 1.3 is stable, i'm able to get to a home screen - line is visible;  but not as visible as when i update to 1.4 from 1.3. UI for camera in 1.3 is a bit odd; icons / letters look like they've been formatted to a 'bold' text. i didn't even want to try 1.1 as i had the weird issue with 1.2 - i do see 1.1 as the manufacture 'initial release' didn't know if that would break it or not.. i also have an A3 Pro that has a front camera issue - does not want to start. when in the camera app, no toggle switch is present for swapping the cameras. when trying to initiate the face-unlock security, the circle where you line your face in is black, and there is a toast message that comes up that states: "Unable to start camera" and then remains black from the lens. if i could get someone to verify that Arrow OS or Lineage OS is able to be used - please let me know!!
