We shouldn't have 2 camera apps. both named "Camera", it's silly, the old camera app should've bee ...

but its not issue, you can have more than one photo app (opencamera etc). I can imagine if they delete old photo app that many users will want back old app
I mean that is only temporary solution..

I cannot remove the old camera app myself, not even disable it, as I would be able to with Opencamera. I want to to remove it or have it removed. Thanks

There are some problem with TWRP and flashing.

1) Using SP flash tool, it says you must do "format and download" and doesn't allow me to just "download only"
But formatting will delete IMEI and other hidden partitions won't it?
So I couldn't do the manual update through SP flash tool.

Then I picked up new boot.img and led magisk do patching.
And updated my F1 by OTA, of course it loses root at this moment.
After update finished, I flashed magisk-patched boot file through fastboot method.
Now my F1 is successfuly rooted on new firmware.
But here is a second problem.

2)TWRP won't boot up. Tring to boot into TWRP just results in a self reboot.
My TWRP is twrp-3.3.1-0-f1_play.img, flashed through fastboot method.

I also flash TWRP with SPTools same, no boot.

Easy way to get root access which has worked for me (Ensure Bootloader is Unlocked before Continuing to avoid Bootloop).

1) Install Magisk Manager.
2) Transfer the boot.img file from the stock firmware on your computer to your phone.
3) Write the boot.img file with Magisk (via the app)
4) Once complete, transfer the new boot.img file back to your PC.
5) Turn off your phone and boot into Meta/Emergency Download Mode (Press and hold Vol Up + Vol Down + Power until you see the prompt of tiny text in the bottom right corner)
6) Use the SP Flash Tool (version provided by ROM forum) and flash ONLY the boot.img file.
7) Restart your phone and go back to Magisk app. You should have Magisk installed, follow the last few steps on the Magisk app which will happen automatically.
8) Root Acquired!
