What it say for fastboot devices

I would like to root the phone but the boatloader is blocked. I went to developer options and activate OEM. No issue.
When I tried with fastboot oem unlock, I have a message "waiting for device".
Can you help me please to have a root verified image or to resolve the problem
Thanks a lot for every body

If you have a TWRP recovery image, you should be able to flash it with SPFT and boot in that recovery. You could then root with Magisk. This way, you don't need to unlock the bootloader.  Post time 2019-6-15 18:19

but are you sure there is no need to unlock the bootloader to get root permissions?

Comments

My Z2 Pro and previous phones have been rooted without unlocking the bootloader. Just change the recovery image for TWRP and use SPFT. The bootloader should be unlocked if you want to use fastboot.  Post time 2019-6-15 22:02

Have you followed these instructions ? (It indeed says that the booloader must be unlocked for Android 9 however). https://community.umidigi.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=2962&highlight=twrp   Post time 2019-6-16 00:36

I flashed Magisk-v17.3.droidfeats.com.zip and it works perfectly. Since I have updated without problem.

I thank you for your availability. Can you be kind enough to tell me where I can download the zip file?
