The issue I have is with memory management on Recent Apps.

The phone is flushing out apps when they should be retained in memory (developer options showing 2Gb+ free so no apps at all should be flushed).

So, when I'm running say Firefox, WhatsApp, Email etc when I click on one of the tiles more often than not it'll reload, instead of instantly resuming from memory - this is the whole point of a 4Gb or 6Gb phone! At the moment, it's way worse than my old 3Gb Xiaomi.

Looks like a memory leak or similar, as it's better after a reboot for a couple of hours then this issue (intermittently) starts again.

Hi,

I'm running latest UMIDIGI_F1.E_V1.0_20190125_20190425-1824 (EEA F1 Play, all updates received via OTA).

My problem is that notifications don't wake up the screen (I get the sound & vibration, but the screen doesn't light up). Is this intentional? Checking or unchecking "Don't wake for notifications" checkbox for DND mode doesn't fix anything. This behaviour (no screen wake up) is this same wether I have DND mode or I'm not on DND. I find this annoying since the phone doesn't have a notif. LED, I was expecting to at least have this visual cue...

-Petr.

Notifications work fine for me - the lock screen displays for a few seconds.
I have DND disabled and "On Lock Screen" set to "Show All Notification Content"

I've got around the no notification LED by using an app called Glimpse. This repeatedly displays the lock screen (I have it set to display the lock screen for 5 seconds every 2 minutes whenever I receive a new WhatsApp) and works perfectly.

The videos recorded with the camera are accompanied by a noisy sound

Hello again, regarding noisy sound in recorded video, i have solved this problem by using open camera and change setting: settings>video settings>audio source>optimize sound.
Then i think the problem is only in the camera app, i hope that you solve that, as soon as possible.

@psprog, are you sure that your notifications work fine? Because I have just tested the Glimpse Notifications app that you suggested (thank you for that!) and indeed with that app turned on, notifications do light up the screen!

But this is the Glimpse app turning on the screen not the UMIDIGI operating system. If I disable Glimps Notifications or uninstall the app, the screen stops turning on, this to me suggests that this feature (turn on screen for notification) doesn't work on my F1 Play. Do your notifications wake the screen if you disable/uninstall Glimps Notifications app?

Hi there, thanks for the release and tutorials, great!
For me, this last update solved the Battery % not showing up.

Here is a few buglist I wish you could take care of:

One thing I miss is the Network Speed - The speed was not showing up in the previous version, and is not available through this new version.
The camera have huge pixels all over the picture when zooming (can provide samples if needed). I guess it's more visible when the camera is used inside with a big zoom.

Fingerprint: I doubt that this phone have the worst fingerprint sensor ever made (is it?). I read reviews complaining about the same problem, the sensors is buggy, working once every 3 to 5 atemps. It's better if the screen is on at first, but can still miss it.

I tried with 1 fingerprint registered normaly, I tried with 1 fingerprint register in every angle, I tried with 2 and 3 fingerprint registered differently, nothing is helping to have a more and precise reading.

For my point of view, when these 3 bugs are gone, I'll have the best phone i ever bought for such price!
You guys did a great work! But i look like a fool showing off my 48MP camera with these huuuuuge squares pixels all over my images.. I have to enter my password to unlock the phone because of the poor fingerprint. Network speed is an Android Native functionality, shouldn't have been removed with the last update

Thanks for your work and help

I tried the notifications for 48 hours. I had no problem with this functionality. Maybe another app is messing with it?

Yes, the notifications wake the screen without any other apps (eg Glimpse).

Happens all the time with emails, app push notifications etc.

Not sure why it wouldn't be working on yours.

Regarding the camera I'm using the stock one.

OpenCamera is no good when it comes to zoom, as it just zooms in on the existing pixels and it's very very jaggy (and has a checkerboard pattern).

The stock camera seems to do a perfect digital zoom (as the GM1 sensor should allow, when zooming 4x it ought to display the central 12mp in the 48mp sensor with no interpolation).

Fingerprints work fine for me after I'd registered a 2nd fingerprint (same finger).
I've noticed I have to touch the sensor slowly for it to work reliably as I'm used to with my old phone (ie 9 times out of 10). If I touch the sensor quickly it'll fail to work half the time.
