1. Unlock the bootloader (will result in a factory data reset and a warning message on the boot screen) YOU LOSE YOUR WARRANTY BY DOING THIS!!!
   a) Enable Developer options
   b) Enable OEM unlock and USB debugging. (Install ADB drivers on your computer)
   c) Connect your phone to USB and in a command window type adb reboot bootloader
   d) Type fastboot flashing unlock
   e) Confirm your decision on the phone (You can re-lock the bootloader with fastboot flashing lock)

2. Now follow the Magisk installation tutorial (recommended and you finish there) or Flash TWRP with SPFT.
3. Install Magisk v19.3 from TWRP. Magisk-v19.3.zip

4. Boot into Android and run Magisk Manager.

Please note, if you unlock the bootloader, that action will automatically void your warranty. You can do it at your own risk!

If you don't know how to install adb drivers, enable Developer options, boot into recovery etc., please google for them or check out other threads on this forum. Users also can help each other by leaving comments.

I keep getting stuck in fastboot mode  and cannot unlock the bootloader. ADB works fine.
I've tried  ...

I'm having exactly the same issue. Have tried different drivers, cables, computers, windows xp to windows 10.
Windows device manager shows "Android ADB Interface" for the F1 when it's in bootloader mode,  changing driver to Android Bootloader Interface manually didn't help.
Edit: Fixed. old version of adb and fastboot tools was the problem. minimal_adb_fastboot_v1.4.3 works.

You can find all updates in the ROM section and simply flash them with SP Flash Tool. The ROM packages also contain the stock recovery images, of course.

Pls I need help here, I have the scatter text, and spflashtool but twrp won't get flashed, though I didn't perform the adb part like fastboot flashing unlock, I went straight  to flashing  because  I don't want void warranty, so I have flash numerous  mtk phone with my PC, even have perform readback on this phone using wWr and spflashtool  to get length address and I did get which are tally with the one factory scatter file, but fail to get full ROM dump, but the question  here is, Is it not possible to flash twrp via spflashtool with scatter file without unlocking  bootloader, because I have flashed so many mtk without  this or am getting  something wrong

I keep getting stuck in fastboot mode <waiting for device> and cannot unlock the bootloader. ADB works fine.
I've tried it with multiple drivers including the one from SPFT and https://www.cyanogenmods.org/forums/topic/download-and-install-mediatek-usb-vcom-driver-on-windows-10/
It seem like a driver problem for me, have been uninstall and reinstall with different drivers but none of them works, and yes I have USB debugging and OEM unlocked.
Also factory reset the phone multiple time but nothing change

Any help will be much appreciate

After setup TWRP you need to install this script to disable data partition encryption and format data: https://forum.xda-developers.com ... rceencrypt-t3817389
