Hello Ben, I got my S3 Pro through Indiegogo in the US and I'm relatively happy with the product. What I like the most is how fast the phone is, the battery duration, and the nice ceramic frame that doesn't hold fingerprints! (very cool). Also with reception I haven't had many issues so far and the wi-fi calling works great.

On the other hand, I'm disappointed about a few things:
-Miravision settings turn off every time I reboot the phone and I manually need to re-enable them again (for example the BlueLight Defender option);

-The quality of the pictures is great both with the front facing and back camera but only in optimal light conditions. With the front facing camera I experienced some issues as the pictures come out "burned" (white background) while in the same conditions they came out great on a much cheaper and old phone of a different brand.

-48 Mpx camera only allows to take 4:3 photos. 16:9 ratio only takes pictures at 8Mpx (I was not expecting 48 at this ratio, but definitely more than 8Mpx)

-LTE Advanced (Carrier Aggregation): I don't see an option to activate it and I'm not sure if it's supported (I would rather have a phone that supports carrier aggregation, than NFC)

Hi all,

I have received the phone more than 10 days, after first update last night, the phone is running good ans smooth. I am sick to read the stupid question that people asked in the indiegogo website, so, I switch here to continue the discussion.

Now I find the issues that unimdigi needs to pay attention:
1. improve poor quality camera performance, add HDR and nightshot option, improve the slow response.
2. add the NFC icon at the notification bar when turned on NFC.
3. take out the numerical battery % inside the battery icon, put the number  (say 67%) just beside the icon is fine, just like other popular mobile phone did.

any other suggestion?

Yes, I also did not see Carrier Aggregation (such as 4G+) at the notification bar, I use the same sim card but got 4G+ in my LG old (Q6+) phone,  Does S3 pro support Carrier Aggregation ?

Good morning!

First week with the phone was great, no issues whatsoever. The OTA arrived yesterday, all went well, everything worked fine until this morning. Phone was charged 100% when I got up, arrived at work and suddenly see the UMIDIGI logo on the screen, phone shut off. Was never able to turn on the phone again. Charged the phone, held the button, etc., no luck, phone is completely dead. What now?

Received my S3 Pro for over a week, pretty happy with the product, except the camera performance is NOT at its best.

-- The camera software is laggy, especially in Photo mode, it takes at least 1 second to start recording the image after pressing the shooting button. Basically this makes it useless in this mode, all other modes(like Pro) work fine. Image quality is not that good even compared with F1. Obviously it's the camera app not working correctly, not the hardware. The Sony 48MP sensor is great, but it needs lots of fine tune in app to support the features and get the best images. If looking at Xiaomi phone using the exactly same sensor, it took them a few updates to make it work as expected, especially night scene shooting
-- After system upgrade recently, the above problem has been corrected. Image quality is improved, but still not to its best and potential of the hardware.
-- Again, camer app is missing at least the following very important features: HDR, Panorama and Night scene shooting modes. These are pretty much standard in modern mid-range and above phones. And the hardware does support them. Please add them, as a so-called flagship phone, these features should be there.

-- Battery seems a little worse than my F1, both have the same 5150 battery, same system, same screen, but S3 Pro has about 1 hour+ shorter life, don't know why.
-- The new update increased the gap between top icon display(notification area), so some previous visible icons are now invisible due to that. I still like the previous compact display. The battery icon display now is horizontal, which is even worse because it takes way more space. Please give an option of horizontal or vertical display for battery icon

battery seems get worse after update.( it is noticeable)..but not too bad, for me , it is still acceptable, at lease I don't need another charging for an 24 hours usage.

battery icon issue...please make it simple , just like other mobile phone ( Samsung, LG....) is good enough! (make the battery icon vertical and put the numerical battery % just beside the icon is fine)

After update, SMS delay issue still exists, the bank send me OTP vis SMS for money transaction, it takes more than 1 hour to receive the OTP!  I am using the same sim card same mobile phone carrier, it never happened in my old LG phone (previously, I can got the OTP within 1 minute). Now I cannot rely on this phone to use internet banking.  UMIDIGI, please fix this  issue.
