Just got the S3 pro. (Actually, whole family did. ) loving it so far.

Got the Latest OTA.

Security patch Level is March 5, 2019.

Question: Has Umidigi been good about keeping up with security patches in the past?

I just ordered a S3 Pro from the Ebay US seller but haven't received it.  It appears the "freezing" problem is some hardware issue that umidigi is attempting to fix with software.    "25%" of units exhibiting this problem is not confidence inspiring.  I'll see if the camera issues are troublesome enough before I pass judgement on that.

My question is if I receive a new phone that exhibits the freezing, should I send it back within the ebay 30 day return window and try to get another one?  Returning it for me is a lot easier (and cheaper!) since I won't need to send it back to China.

Where to buy usb cable and ac adaptor in Germany for S3 Pro? I tried to access phone with other usb c cable and Windows 10 Laptop, but it would work with original (black/red) only. Any recommendations for ebay item listingsor shops to purchase original or other working spare part

I use third party  type C cable on Win 7 and Win 10, no problem at all.
For adapter, if you don't need fast charge, any android phone adapter/charger can work.
If you need fast charge, buy a pump express compatible charger.

yes,   as Umidigi have a lot of  intrinsic problem and lack of update/ bug fix.  I will not consider it anymore in the future.

Did you ever got to solve this issue? Everything was fine for me until i got the update last month and then i started having the screen freezing randomly like you described...

My S3 pro doesn't work with Google Pay. NFC is on. I can read my creditcard with NFC. My "old" Z2 pro did work well. Who can help me?

New update(OTA) is available on wireless update. So far so good, it's more stable than last update, a few bugs were fixed still few are there.

-- Camera zoom-in freezing issue fixed(great!)
-- Duplicate ringtone fixed
-- Night mode shooting is good(though takes time to process)

Problems I saw(but don't bother me) someone might care:
-- NO HDR support at all
-- Still two camera apps(old and new)
-- Can't change battery percentage display(Always on)

I am having exactly the same issue. The card works on my previous phone but not my S3 Pro. Tried 2 different cards and neither worked. The terminal does not acknowledge the device is even nearby let alone show any sort of error message but the payment terminal works when I use my bank card directly.

I've tried all the uninstall and reinstalling of the app, unregistering and re-registering my card and even a factory reset to no avail.

It also appears that in Google play protect it shows the device is not certified, is that something to do with it?

I've got a fault logged with Google but given my card works with my old phone and I've tried multiple cards I'm now resigned to the fact it is the handset at fault not the Google Pay app.

I have e-mailed umidigi numerous times for help and support but as yet no reply.

Any help or advice is grately appreciated.

"Google pay" said, the phone must have the function HCE. The S3 pro has a NXP NFC Controller. It doesn't support HCE. Is this wright???  Post time 2019-7-9 18:59
