I think we are referring to two different issues. I know the one you are talking about, which is regarding firmware updates. But in my case I'm referring to android security patches update.

UMIDIGI One Max  flashlight / Dual LED flash problem.

Did anyone notice the weak power of the flashlight?
On my smartphone, the flashlight is very dim (from new)

Today I discovered that on the motherboard, there are two LEDs (Dual LED flash)

On my smartphone, only one LED lights up. That's why the flashlight gives you only 50% brightness.

This is a big problem for me, I use a flashlight very often. But she gives too little light.

Has anyone with the same problem met?

On my device the flashlight is working correctly. You should consider to send yours to Umidigi for RMA...

mine fine, both a flash and flash light, as ecto suggested, might be an RMA?

I think I found one more bug on my One Max.
If I set the ringtone ON at a level between min and max (so no vibration and not silent) after a call it sets at max level on its own...
Is anybody else facing the same issue?

So after getting nowhere with UMIDigi about any updates for this phone, I discovered project treble.  I installed it, and it works a treat.  It works better then the Stock UMIDigi rom, fixes sound issues, and brings android 9 and current security updates.  While this will reset the phone, its a small price to pay for a decent ROM.
