Hello!
I've just get a new Umi Emax Mini phone, and when i put (any) sim card in it, it doesn't allow to connect to the network. Neither 2g-3g or whatever, it says only i can just make an emergency call (on the 1st and 2nd sim slot too) . Sim card(s) are working fine with other phones, APN settings are fine, and the phone found the network stations too. I'v tried to update with the official rom, and it is still not working.
If someone can help, i would very appriciate that.

Sorry, maybe I'm missing something, but can't you restore the modem (QCN) by following step <4> from
http://community.umidigi.com/thread-2084-1-1.html

where there is a link to download the QCN back-up file.

i'll wait some days what they say about that problem but if it will be no solution i'm gonna send it back to the seller and buy another (not again emax mini) phone

I've tried to restore an ESF backup from another phone, but still nothing...

Where from did you buy your phone(s), what is your Baseband and Software Version as listred under the Settings About?

You can try unbricking techniques as discussed throught the thread:

but MO, consider opening a dispute with your Web seller by asking  for a procedure to send back your malfunctioning phone for replacement, as soon as easier and better for you.

I bought it on aliexpress, my baseband:M8939AAAAANLYD2020514.1 and soft:mini_001_11/17/2015(I updated it)

My baseband is the same version, ROM version is Sep 26 (orginal), and of course, CS and PS over 2G/3G/4G work.

Your modem info could have been screwed up by somebody trying to install CM or TCL ROMs, reviwing techniques and experieces are discussed under the Unbrick thread.


Aliexpress is not a seller, there are various sellers on Aliexpress, some decent ones and some less (similiar situation as on eBay).
Aiexpres gives you a right to open a Dispute in 60 days after your purchase.

I bought it on Century Tech. I waiting for it about 1.5 month, so i got only 6 days on Aliexpress
