UMI Zero receives CyanogenMod 12.1 Install available from ROOTJOY

One of the biggest problems presented by Chinese smartphones, is that they have little development, which means that, in most cases, there are no available ROMs. Nevertheless, UMi, in their quest to be one of the leading brands on today’s market, has decided that the price does not need to be at odds with the customizability. For this reason, UMi is developing some of the most successful Android ROMs for its devices. In addition, in order to simplify this process, the company has designed RootJoy, a PC software that allows both install new ROMs and manage applications or perform backups, all in a simple and intuitive way.

In this occasion, UMi has launched CyanogenMod 12.1 for UMi Zero. This is one of the most famous Android roms, since it offers lots of personalization options combined with a great performance, giving the opportunity for users to configure the system as they like, applying themes or using some tweaks CyanogenMod 12.1 is based on Android 5.1, so UMi Zero owners can experience Lollipop on their phones.

UMi Zero was released running Android 4.4 KitKat, nevertheless, UMi promised to release updates for this device, and they have kept their promise. UMi Zero users have been claiming CyanogenMod 12.1 for some months, so UMi wants to apology for the delay. Nevertheless, this rom has finally arrived, proving that UMi does not forget any of their devices as well as UMi users’ wish. Here is what their wish come true, coinciding with this significant dates.

There is also good news for UMi Iron owners, since UMi has recently released an update for Flyme OS, one of the most successful Android roms, distinguished by offering an elegant design and an interaction model based on gestures. Both roms are available at RootJoy, so users can easily flash them.

UMi also wants to take the opportunity to wish Merry Christmas to everyone and announce that, at this Christmas month, they are launching the “Make a wish” campaign, which will be launched soon, keep posted from their next announcement at UMi Community.

\n\nOhhh...this is so bad that I can't even believe it!!!

It started few weeks ago...first navigation buttons failed to work (I've put one line in build.prop to get soft buttons) then the Wi-Fi disconnect for no reason.
That was the point when I've decided to install Cyanogenmod 12.1.

Now, navigation buttons work (great), Wi-Fi doesn't disconnect (good), but...

1. Camera's maximum is at 5.3 megapixel
2. Calling sound is awful, low, poor quality or it doesn't even exist.

So, the main reason why I've bought this phone is great camera...and the other reason is that I make calls and other call me.

You will never get my support again.

UMI is on my mobilephones blacklist. :-(

Ah ok Umi Smartphone! Blocked me before a month and now you steal my rom without giving credits? I had the plan to buy a new umi phone, but now i search a other company. I will find a way to stop Umi, to steal my rom. Or i will stop updateing the rom and keep the updates private.

UMI ROM is same as NeedROMs version. Not good.
Overheats, no sound or mic during calls.
Nice looking ROM but that's about it.

You can download and install it with Rootjoy.

Hi,
i have problem with flashing process (zero umi V3.09). after the row is pushed, comes installing recovery files and wrire: please root your phone, check the root authority allow.
of course is usb debugging on.
can you help me?

've an issue with the download process from Rootjoy. Tried to reboot the system (I could not hear the caller), but it didn't help. So I thought I could uninstall it and then download and install it again.my ip birthday wishes tneb
