The F1 seems to be a beast, indeed. I guess it's better than the One Max in a lot of areas (camera, screen resolution, SoC, battery).
But, the One Max is a great all-round device as well. And personally, I'd buy the One Max as I don't like phones with rear-mounted fingerprint sansors.
It may sound crazy not to buy a phone because of this, but a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and no notification LED are the two things that are major dealbreakers for me.
In any case, I like this new direction of Umidigi, they've released and are releasing several very good phones. And they're even providing decent software support for bug fixes.
My only concern is upgrade/update support for new versions of Android and security patches, but I'm sure they'll realize that support is essential if they want to grow and build a solid reputation.
And I do hope that one day Umidigi will release a device that, in addition to a notification LED , has:
- an under-display fingerprint scanner with the raise-to-wake function,
- fantastic cameras,
- Android version upgrades for 2 years. |
