My z2 pro now shut down when plugged to charger. It just started recently. Please what can I do to fix this problem

Be happy with Oreo 8.1. On every spin, Android is getting more and more paranoid. The last finding of Goggle is to manage battery with so badly called AI, which here may be termed Artificial Idiocy. Applications are ranked per daily use and may be simply removed from memory if Android decides so. The user can disable 'Adaptative Battery' globally or per application, but even then, some messaging applications become unusable, not receiving messages and hence, no notifications.  Just do a web search, some users don't even catch SMS messages. On this last unexpected behavior, Goggle would blame OEMs and OEMs would blame Android. At the root, Google makes bad decisions on how Android should predominate over user choices. That recalls me about automatic pilot in aircrafts that can't be disengaged. Recent news have shown where that can lead.

I'm speaking after having bad experience with Umidigi F1.  So be happy with Oreo 8.1.

I started using my Z2Pro in October 2018, and it was one of those with mic problem. I sent the IMEI's and other data to the e-mail as it was described, and in one day your team provide my phone with an update, so now the mic works. The problem is that since this update, I have a firmware version 20180823_20180928 and thus it isn't updated, and I'm unable to update it to any newer versions via OTA, I tried manually and it showed an error.

I'm scared to go with Factory Reset in order to start all updates once again, because I don't know if the mic will work?

Please help me resolving this issue.

Hi,
In every ROM thread you can see that specific OTA update can update which version, so you can not update any other version. Your special version has not received further updates, so the only solution for you is to flash the latest, normal version with SPFT. If after flashing your mic issue returns, , you can try to do the following.
1. Open the Phone app, tap the 3-dot menu button in the top right corner, then select Settings.
2. Select Accessibility, and disable Noise reduction. Now try to make a phone call.

Thanks for the tip. The update process with SPFT went very smooth.

Now the PROBLEM! is that once again the mic is not working, either with activated or with disabled noise reduction.

Please help me with this issue

It's a pity but I doubt that there will ever be another z2 pro update, and the issues that it still has with the wifi and camera will never be solved.

People, please, please help.

I have 4 x UMIDIGI Z2 Pro, and I want to Flash it with new ROM, but I can t.
The problem is I can t connect UMIDIGI Z2 Pro with PC.
I try a whole day to connect phone but every time it appears USB not recognized.
I use Windows 10 and i install every driver that i find on internet but without success.

Please, please, what to do how to connect the UMIDIGI Z2 Pro to PC and how to Flash it?

Please, I'm a little tired, because I'm trying all day but unfortunetlly without success.
