I agree with people above. Perhaps it takes up resources to work on Android 9. But this is in your benefit for future sales and customers.

Many americans are tired of Samsung and Verizon politics and restrictions. They want a flagship phone with the newest android. I.e. you will attract more rich and mid range people if you have competing stats.

So by working on Android 9 for One Pro, you are getting ready for your next device which ships with Android 9.

It's no news at all just the distracted ones that have not yet seen that the updates come with the new phones. Phones Phones and other items Made in China and cheap only have a lifetime limit of 1 year, all the time that comes after that is a Bonus. Whoever wants a new operating system, has to buy a new phone. The UMI has always been like this and will continue if they want updates to buy Top brand Chinese phones.

On the topic of Android 9... can someone say, what really would be the advantages of getting the UI updated to 9.0? I've heard a lot of companies have released more or less unstable versions of Pie, and the development is not quite there yet. Personally I would be quite happy with just the security patches.

umi product are beautiful, umi produce same hardware may be new face give it max or pro and we buy, duo try in software patch and no upgrades. since umi super i have never boast of umidigi camera

Sorry for posting in the wrong topic, I could not get it to work

My problem is my 3 month old One Pro will not switch on anymore, have tried hard reset still nothing.
Its totally dead, the seller is not helping me, really sad about this because I love this phone can someone help

In Cuba We don't have to many Umi phone, almost all Chinese are Huawei and Xiamoin but some Chinese students own Umi so I got One Pro New, really I'm happy with this phone, is fast beautiful (amazing) for his price. So I'm advertising anytime I can the brand with colleagues, family and friends in the Havana Medical University, but they all ask about the system update, because Huawei and Xiaomin already got it without problems. So please try to solve and give us some update that give me the reason to maintain this wonderful phone.

Hi i know this is not the right thread, pls divert this to right thread if there is any, coudlnt able to find one here thou. im new so i cant create a thread aswell:

i just bought an Umidigi one phone and it died within few hours, like literally within few hours of use.. had battery almost 50% when it dead.. no sound, no screen, phone is off as i cant reacch my sim netwrok on call. but when i put it on charge it shows red notification light on .. thats it ... nothing else.. Dead
plain DEAD...

please help.. only been barely few hours.

Have You tried to reinstall firmware from recovery?

I also have the same problem, the phone is dead, only the red LED stays on. It seems like a problem they have in many .....

And unfortunately nobody helps us .......
