I have updated to the FOTA version UMIDIGI A1_PRO_V2.0_20180920_20180920_2303 but a mistake has happened: I don't have anymore the "Gallery" and I don't reach to open some app, like for example "SETTINGS". I think this app is REALLY important to work properly with the telephone. So I tried to flash it: VCOM drivers are properly installed (on device manager I can see: MEDIATEK PRELOADER USB VCOM on COM7) and I followed your instructions. The SPFT was running in the right mode but at the end this error appeared to me: STATUS_DOWNLOAD_EXCEPTION (0xC0050003)


The error appeared during the flash of the "system" partition. Any suggestion please? Many thanks

I have downloaded once again the ROM and now the flash has been successful. I have reinstalled the OTA update too, but the "setting" app crashes the same. My account is not setted for a backup, so I'm thinking to install the TWRP and proceed for the backup with this recovery. Can you specify me the correct order to do this operation? Tks

I ask you a question, thanks in advantage to who will answer: may I return back to an older ROM? I think I could and I image that to do so it is enough to flash the older version with SPFT, isn't it?

Yes, download the previous rom stock and do not update by OTA:  http://community.umidigi.com/for ... display&fid=195

I do not understand how they throw an OTA with errors, it seems that they had not tested it

I'm downloading the V1.0_20180601 ROM and then I will flash it. Do you suggest me to uncheck the userdata partition? I also ask to @bencebacsi : I think that, in this way, I will perform a system update without erasing the user data (as is written in this tutorial thread for the use of SPFT http://community.umidigi.com/thread-16931-1-1.html)
