This is the FlashTool version of the 6FA6-ZP1-P5002 firmware for UMI eMAX Mini

Attention! This tool is safe and easy to use, but all user data will be lost!

EDIT 12.12.2015: Before you flash this update, it is highly recommended to make a TWRP backup. To backup the EFS partition is particulary important for the case if you lose the mobile network connection. Copy your backup (the whole TWRP folder) and store it in a safe place on your computer.

• The unworking OTA update feature removed
• Some unnecessary apps removed
  

Installation
Connect your phone to USB and put it into downloader mode, then run the tool

eMAX mini Software Download Tool: 6FA6-ZP1-P5002-Flashtool.EXE (This tool has its own guide in its Help section. There's a driver installer in the tool as well. The Flashtool will install the mini_001_11/17/2015 version ROM on your phone)

To put UMI eMAX Mini into downloader mode for flashing:

• Power off your phone - if your phone is in boot loop, you can power it off by keeping pressed the power button for about 10 seconcs. If your phone can't power off but always restarts, jump immediately to step 2. when you perceive/hear the vibration.
• Connect your phone to USB and immediately (after the vibration) press and keep pressed all the 3 side-buttons until you see the Warning screen - just wait for the next vibration if your screen doesn't work because incompatible ROM is installed.
• Long press the Vol-up button until the screen gets dark - If your screen doesn't work, watch the device manager and release the button when the HS-USB QDLoader 9008 appears among the COM ports.
  

P.s.: This is still the only method to update your eMAX Mini. Rootjoy, recovery or OTA updates are not available yet.

Unfortunately that was not the first case when they promised something before thinking and researching. However, to lie means that if you say something that you know is not or won't be true. UMI just promised things that they wanted but couldn't make done. So they made some mistakes, not lied. You can make the difference between the two attitudes or not. That depends on your attitude and the level of your intelligence.

my first review:
- led still doesnt work
- wifi is worse then before

• There's no notification LED on this phone. The white LED is meant only to indicate the charging process. That works.
• I've got now two phones of this kind in hand and the WiFi works perfectly with good reception in both of them. If you have problems, that must be a unique issue.
• Yes, after the flashing process is finished and the phone reboots automatically, I suggest you to reboot it again before setting up your personal configuration.

My phone seems to be stuck in diagnostics mode and I can't get it to go into any other mode or boot.

Yes, you lose your data but before flashing, you can make a backup with TWRP recovery, then restore it after the flashing process if you install TWRP again.

In the post that you linked here, I described the limited Rootjoy support of eMAX mini. No change in that state yet, you can't update your phone with Rootjoy.

Unsinstall and install the drivers from the flashtool, then try again.

Ok. Thanks for the info. I will try with the update. Please tell people form UMI my opinion:

eMax mini is great with HW specs and price but the software and support is really mediocre at best. Why not consider talking to Cyanogenmod to take support of this phone officially like the Wilyefox did ? With official Cyanogenmod on this phone it would be really awesome. Have a nice day.

This flasher app and its content were tested many times and work perfectly. So, I suggest you to solve the problem of your own Windows machine. That's possible to create an update.zip file containing the stock recovery, but (since normally that's pointless), that would be just the waste of time to work with it.

Thank you for all help Bencebacsi. I am having same issue as a previous poster. I install update and screen cast vanish. How to get this back? I have use this quiet often and will miss this ability. This is Standard abilty of android is it not? Thank you

Thanks for this update. If you update the phone after flashing TWRP an Supersu, Do you loose both and do you have to flash TWRP recovery and root it again?

#FJP84: Yes, you have to reinstall TWRP and SU but that just takes a few minutes with my tool.

#zgf: Yes and UMI informed me about just 2 changes, the OTA update removal is added by me. Maybe there are other changes as well.

which product model i ahve to select 5042? 5042g ??

1st time i started the tool with the device i leave product model on m3m as it ist.
go to information and select information.
this worked just the 1st time. after that, i get always errorcode 5002 or 5003.
init firehose failed.

any ideas on that?

No one of them. Just leave the M3M chosen as the program starts and click on the Download button if you've already installed the drivers.
