As reported at the "rom" part of the community, Z2 suffers of self reboot (several cases reported)

Several times a day, there is a quick notifications "SIM PROCESSOR", the network of the 1 or 2 simcards ends, and the phone reboot itself.

The phone is unusable. You can't check your phone every 5 minutes to be sure it is switched on !!

I spent more than 200 euros to buy this ! I ask UMIDIGI to fix immediatly this issue ... or to refund me ... and the others in the same case.

Feel free to update us, and to contact me directly if you need more explanations.

Hi guys can we get an update on this? i'm having the issue now and the only i can stop the phone from continuing to reboot is by plugging it to a laptop but that also means i don't have a phone since once i remove it from the computer is gonna start its routine. seeing that you responded about investigation almost 12 months ago, what is the fix now? what is causing the issue? Flashing didn't work

Sir, This is October 2019. My Z2 is becoming a nightmare,  I have just owned this for 10 months,  I bought S3 Pros for my family.  I have advertised this phone to my friends 10 of whom bought the phone.
It just turns itself off.  What is the fix?

Hi guys

I'm sorry to post here but I don't know where else to write this and I can't start a new topic.

Can someone please tell me how I can get in touch with a live person in tech support?

I keep getting emails saying they're on it and then then I get an email saying they've closed the case because they haven't heard from me in a week.

I've been trying to get support for over a year... firstly from the reseller (no reply whatsoever) then via AliExpress (not much help) and then through Umidigi directly. I'm ready to throw the phone through the window except that I can't afford to waste the cost of the phone.

These guys have the absolute worst support I have ever come across in my life and I've been in IT for over twenty years...

Cheers

I recently bought a new Z2 - it has an exact copy of the problem with the microphone, like the Z2 Pro. The microphone does not hear my voice. Updating the system via Flach Tools was not successful. How to solve a problem?

So, here are a few bugs still remaining after the last update, I hope it'll help resolving them in the next update:
- The screen rotation is still not totally functionning, it is kinda random if it works or not
- After a restart of the phone, by default the sound for the notifications is ON, although it was on vibrate mode when turned OFF
- Also, after restarting the phone, the vibration level for the keyboard is back to standard, so not taking into account which level of vibration we chose
- The navigation bar is impossible to get back up if we hide it

Things that could be improved/added:
- A not fake dual camera, as this was advertised when this phone came out ? Because the fake bokeh effect is the crapiest thing I have ever seen, a lying company doesn't have any chance to survive
- Only one 4G symbol to free a bit a notification bar space
- Just a symbol or something else in the notification bar to see if we have any notifications, so we don't have to scroll the notification panel down (which can be tricky with such a big phone when using only one hand )
- Add a double-tap to wake screen option would be nice, it's kinda difficult to find the power button just by feeling it

Hope this helps to improve the phone, I'm really starting to like it, so keep on this way up please !

Hi,
Firstly you should swap sim cards or use only one and narrow down possible causes.
Also if you using TF/SD card you should remove and test device.
If phone still showing same issues please perform factory reset and if this doesn't help please flash complet ROM with SPFT under firmware upgrade option.
Here is SPFT instruction
http://community.umidigi.com/for ... &extra=page%3D1
And here all available ROMs
http://community.umidigi.com/for ... display&fid=197
Of course if you are completely dissatisfied with product please contact directly to seller.
Please let us know about results.

Do you consider a buyer of a new phone should be able to flash the device he paid more than 200 € ? It is not serious !!
Not everyone is able to do it !!

I have tried with 1 or 2 sim cards. I have already flashed.

Il will try to flash again (a last time I hope !) without SD card and will uptade you.

@bencebacsi and @MarcinP as you can see, I was the first, but i'm not the only one to face the "self reboot" issue : @mido @yoleonet @Boban12 @unyletter and @bilelosun reports the same.

I have flashed again ... and same issue.

2 hypothesis :
- There is a Hardware malfunction
- There are ROM bugs, on the contrary of what you think.

We are all waiting for a (very) quick fix.

As @STEPHTHOUVENOT said i have the same issue with the random rebooting. Sim signal drops quickly and it takes a minute or two to recover. I went to my service provider and changed my sim card with a brand new one so the problem is not on my end.
As for the random reboots i tried everything : - flashing with firmware upgrade
                                                                - i did not install any apps , i only did the upgrade of the preinstalled ones
                                                                - checked for high temperatures (CPU and Battery - no overheating)
                                                                - i removed my sim card to see if it still happens (random reboot happened again)
