How about the screens ?
I find the screen on my old Z are pretty useless in the summer time with sunny days.

Also Z2 Vs Z2 pro ? what is the difference.

6 inches are really too large to me, and its messing with my mind that i haven't managed to break the screen on my Z long time ago, and the glass over the camera have cracked though i for some unknown reason haven't dropped my phone a single time.

How about newer Android, is it possible to loose that damn search box, the sight of it really ruin my extremely mundane phone experience.
I have owned a smartphone since the Galaxy 2, and i cant remember ever using my phone to search on a single time ( if you rule out search for a address in google maps to navigate to )

Not only UMIDIGI. I know about some Lenovo models used the Efuse protection in the past. This technology is developed by MediaTek but only a few manufacturers use it.
Efuse is a bad name for this technology since it's not really a fuse, that can be triggered, it's just a write protection of some specific partitions.

Okay, I also have some other questions :

1) Android 8.1

1. The Android P (final version) is expected to be released in August, so of course, currently that's not possible to release a new device with Android 9.0. A later upgrade might be possible but we don't yet know the future about that.
2. Wait for the specifications to be published to get informed about the screen glass. In case of a damage, only the whole screen (LCD + touch panel together) will be possible to be replaced and first you can expect a price around US $90. Later the price can go down to $30. These are just estimations, of course.

Please wait for the specification to be released. I wouldn't like to share unconfirmed data.

They are based on completely different hardware and different materials are used for the case housing. you can compare the details after the specifications are published.
The presence and settings of the search box is related to the launcher, not to the android version. You can use a different launcher if you want to get rid of the search box. I don't yet know how it will work on the Z2 and Z2 Pro. Also the Google Maps features are developed and updated by Google.

I would prefer LineageOS.
I've had very good experiences so far.
(not with UMIDIGI devices, but with Samsung)
Unfortunately, UMIDIGI devices are not very common and therefore nobody seems to bother creating a working LineageOS version.

I would be very grateful if someone created LineageOS or crDroid for the UMIDIGI Z Pro.

Totaly agree on this one. Stock Android is a way forward, but imagine what we could do with open sources?
Still kind of keen about this device. Sadly will be a long time until i can get my hands on one and start fiddeling around. Maybe they dare to give out a few some to review-people or coders?

I just received the specifications via newsletter.

Camera
Main: 16MP (F2.0)+8MP,Samsung sensor, autofocus (PDAF), Dual LED flash, 4K video recording
Front: 16MP+8MP with F2.0 aperture, Sony sensor, video recording 1080p

That's too inaccurate for me. I would like to know which sensor is used (the exact type).
I would also like to have more information about the AI Processing Unit.
What functions does it have, what is improved by it, was it developed by UMIDIGI itself, ...
