Hello All,
I was excited to try the basic rom as the version that came on my phone has so much bloatware and even some malware thrown in - however despite not selecting the format + download option I have received errors when attempting to flash this rom and my s2pro now will not boot at all.Just a red light when I plug it in - the computer recognises it when I plug it and the sp flash tool will start but it doesn't seem to matter what ROM I try - I even tried flashing the ROM: UMIDIGI S2 Pro V1.0_20180201 ROM - QGDP + SPFT + OTA release via the SPFT but nothing seems to work.  Any ideas?

Hello All,

Quick update.  My phone was bricked  no replies so I thought it can't get any worse so I might as well try the SP Flash Tool with the Format + Download option.  This time my phone flashed successfully using the 20180201_g27v57c2k_kw_s82_Basic ROM and is running fine except for the fingerprint reader.  I'm not sure that I am game enough at the moment to try flashing the 8.0 upgrade on my phone - has anyone else flashed the version 8.0 rom mentioned in the comments by bencebacsi in the first post?

*Malware/Bloatware Alert* After flashing the basic rom in this thread that is 'supported' by Umidigi I had advertising showing in my notification drop down.  I long pressed on the advert and the cuprit seems to be the PatchSystem process - I have disabled this process and removed it's auto startup permissions.  I'm shocked that Umidigi have again supplied compromised applications in the build (my phone orginally had a malicious version of 360 security app that was trying to sign my service up to premium subscriptions) :-(
Is anyone aware of other processes on this basic ROM that should be disabled?
