Maybe it's unreliable and cannot hold the saved data properly. Try to remove your SD card, then download the update file again, so it will be saved on the internal memory. Or use a branded memory card.
Good evening,
after removing my SD Card properly and clearing system cache, I've got the following message while trying to download the update package again "Error while downloading: 9002" (before I've got the message "Error while downloading: -3" once).
it's good to release new smartphones but when will there finally be an upgrade of S2 PRO with android 8 ????????
You go out of new smartphones and after, there is more than of upgrade for the old ones. it's my second Umidigi and it's always the same thing! I think my S2 pro will be the last umidigi !!! Too bad because the hardware is good but without monitoring software, these smartphones are quickly obsolete!
Hi!
Recently I bought an UMIDIGI S2 Pro. Its software is unforatunately "old" version with V1.0_20171227 ROM with 7.0 Andriod.
Phone has unfortunately laggings and reactions delays.
I have read many of threads and conversations and in my understanding only one solution is to update ROM based on this thread. And it can solve (only partially?) these problems.
Because I have currently basic ROM I should utilize "Firmware update" falshing mode first, Is my understading right?
In the SPFT tutorial I did not found description of this flashing mode (only "Download only" is explained)
Could you explain me what the flashing steps are or what is different compared to "Download only" flashing mode?
Or is there any meanings to wait for official software update (via OTA) by UMI?
If your answer is surely NO or needs long time to wait I surely will do update manually based this thread and your recommendation.
On windows 10 Downloading the tool and the rom - when I click apply it comes up with the above.
My phone now is looking rather bricked (Won't boot although the computer will still recognise it while it's powered off and if I plug it in I can see it as a device) None of the roms listed in the S2 Pro forums on here will work however...
