Here's a video about its usage. Your settings should work immediately. In the end of the video I stepped back using the fingerprint sensor.

CUBOT X18 Plus on the MT6750T processor out of the box has Android 8.0.

I've known Cubot since 2008 (I was selling their devices) and in the past they used to release smartphones with fake Android versions shown in the settings, so I'm very suspicious about their latest model. A downloadable ROM is not available to be able to look into it and check it. MediaTek is going to release an Android 8.1 SDK for the MT6750 SoC, not 8.0, and still only this one MTK based model is available advertised with Android Oreo and ''interestingly'' by a very small and unreliable company, not by a serious one. So it can be either a fake Android version or simply a ported ROM. I don't believe them until I can't check the software of that phone.

Have you set at least one fingerprint in Setttings --> Security?

Just have to say tha I have the exact same problem. My play store takes a lot of time (sometimes more then 1 hour) to start downloading the apps. With 3G or Wi-fi. During that time I can acces the internet in other apps or in the browser.
I installed the first rom availabel and fixed the problem. Then I upgraded to the last version and I think that at first was ok but now the problem returned.

It's a weired bug.

Roaming in cz do not go tested with me, D1 Sparhandy card .den support call and let me send the settings, will report whether it is resolved. wifi with a fixed ip will be awarded otherwise he does not connect the problem I had at first inbetriebnahme.nun I find nirgens the finger sensor maybe sometime a screeshot me show where should be.
