Hey,
I updated my phone to this update via OTA which appeared to of worked perfectly then i installed a app(Lastpass) which informed me my phone was rooted, i havnt rooted it. so i used the SP flash tool to reflash the os, that all worked perfectly but its still saying the device is rooted, also my banking application wont allow me to use the finger print sensor because of the rooting issue, is there a specifc reason for this? or some way i can fix it?

Thanks,
John

It's not a google app but with quite a simple settings page. What would you fix on it?

Hi,

You can check with Root Checker whether your phone is really rooted or not. It's not factory rooted. The fingerprint scanner can be properly used with a lot of apps, even with PayPal or Google Play Store, so I don't know what really could be the issue of your banking app.

Thanks for the quick response!
No the app says it is not rooted, the banking app(Natwest a relatively large UK bank) says in big red letters if the phones rooted it will not accept fingerprint authentication, so im presuming its the same as lastpass? any idea why lastpass is detecthing it as rooted?

Unfortunately we don't know what method those apps use to identify root access.

That's the same app in multiple models, not related to UMI OS. I hope the blue text and switches don't really bother you.

Blue text and switches bother.
It is not in the style of pure Android and looks foreign.
Think it's not difficult for your engineers to change the style of the app ?
Write what is the name of this application in the system , I myself will try to change its style.
