Dotaz: Mám Umidigi s2 PRO. Budou  aktualizace  na Andriod 8? Nejnovější aktualizace An.7 nefungovala dobře. Musel jsem opakovaně restartovat nastavení z výroby a zakázat některé "tvrdé aplikace". Dík.

Query: I have Umidigi s2 PRO. Will updates on Andriod 8? The latest An.7 update did not work well. I had to reboot the factory settings repeatedly and disable some "hard applications". Thanks.

Actually,Mediatek processors can run android 8/Oreo very well.so the problem with the SDK not being
released is probably because Umidigi wont pay for it.there are plenty of other companies running mediatex processors
that have android Oreo,so over to you umidigi

There is a famous YouTubed that recently make a review of umidigi s2 pro, and he said that if you allow using launcher Hera, improve performance, multitasking and camera, would be the best phone. There is another famous YouTube that have done the unboxing and soon will do the review. Many people is waiting to see if they buy it, but if  they see that you can’t use launcher they won’t buy it. You need to make a update fast, or you will lose a lot of customers... listen your customers umidigi, listen your customers... thanks and I will not repeat more because is a waste of time. All the day the same answere “umi os is ok”  and blah blah blah...

What i learned from Umidigi is never go to an unknown brand. The aftersale support is laughable. I am not really looking for oreo but performance fixes for the existing infamous UmiOS.

Anyway This is my last umi phone ever. Better buy a Xiaomi or oneplus.

I have bad feelings about Umidigi... They doing sh.t on our faces. Good plate, really bad software. Thousands of threads writing the problems, and they doing nothing. I won't never buy any china shit in future again Elephone was the same.
And also will tell my Friends, that they shouldn't buy these unsupported things

Hey Wiera,

I did install  https://www.movilesdualsim.com/t ... _mod_mdsdev.187988/  this rom and for me it worked pretty good.
With it I can use it as a daily phone and hope Umidigi is coming with a decent rom let it be android 7 or 8 if its only good, and working.
Sad that its potential is not alricht with this bad software.

If you actually took the time to read the reviews they are stated to being upgraded to
Oreo updates,the specs do not and never have told the whole story.as you
must be aware,devices can look brilliant by reading specs...the reality however
can often be something completely different.

Samsung ON,Tecno AX8,Bluboo S1 all reported to be running mtk P25 and running  or having an ota update to Odeo.there are others but
why should I do your search for you?

It is unfortunate that UMIDIGI's support is unable to give a convincing and reliable explanation of the S2 PRO upgrade situation. With so much dissatisfaction demonstrated by so many customers, it was time for UMIDIGI to take a position on this situation. Any European supplier with the first complaint would take a position because the customer is the one who makes the company survive and grow, the customer can not be without fast support and reliable.

For example? Last time a user with the same statement linked only a ported, custom (not official) ROM of a still Android 7.0 smartphone, and a future phone, that's not even and maybe won't be available on the market. On kimovil.com Helio P25 and Android 8.0 together result zero match. Each sort of MediaTek SoC has its own SDK, you can't speak generally about MediaTek processors.

There is no plans to upgrade firmware. System bugs are fixed in latest update.

Any new about upgrading android 8.0 umidigi. APLEASE. They want 6.0 becaus 7.0 is Hug, but if you gfix the bugs or put in 8.0 would be the best phone

The decision is to be made by the chip producer, not by umidigi. There are only few phones on the market now with 8.0

I not said when it is supposed to be updated, I said that just we want andro 8 when it comes out for Mediatek, and if it’s possible, stocky ndroid with best camera software, nothing more. This will fix all bugs and issues umi is 2.0 haves...
