Have a look to attached link  https://www.gsmarena.com/xiaomi_ ... ui_9-news-29199.php
Xiaomi will update 40 devices to Android 7 and new. The oldiest one launched in 2012! Some of UMI devices received support for 6 months only.
Great and well done.

Did you see Microsoft to be upgrading Windows for free????
Umi /umidigi did few upgrades for free but unfortunately some devices cannot be upgraded due to unsupported hardware.

Actually, Microsoft did it. We were able to upgrade our Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 for free.

Still possible now : https://www.windowslatest.com/2018/01/03/can-still-upgrade-windows-10-free/

I wanted to post this in a new thread... but apparently you need special powers here to be able to -ask-for-help-...

I have a UMIDIGI Plus E.  It's about 6 months old.  Everything is fine with it, it's a nice, quick, Android 6 phone.  But it has one issue - the bluetooth is very ropey.  When it's connected to the car, it stutters.  A lot.  It also does this when connected to my (UMI proprietary) bluetooth speaker and 3rd party bluetooth headphones, although not as much.

There are a couple of threads on here that can help resolve bluetooth issues - the one about clearing the caches through the app settings did improve matters - but not for long, the problem soon returns.

Upgrading the ROM to a Jan 2017 version (one of the other solutions) isn't an option either as I'm already running the V3.02_20170605 rom, which came with the last set of system updates.

Worryingly, this says that the Android security patch level is 5 January 2017 - over a year ago.

Is there any chance that we might get a fix for the broken bluetooth, or any recent security updates?

Of course, I'm working it IT, and did the necessary to "disable" the spywares ;)
And I know this is not the only reason. But Umidigi can follow this initiative to upgrade it.

Roxoff --> http://community.umidigi.com/thread-15973-1-2.html (this is the only known way to get a stable Bluetooth.)
