Thanks for your reply. I received 20171227 update yesterday so I don't know when it will come to  ...

The 20171227 OTA is the same as this update, just the developers forgot to set the build number info correctly. I fixed that in the basic edition. Your system is currently up to date (20180117) and you'll be able to receive the next OTA update as soon as it gets released.

I have one more question.
With local OTA Update will I loose my data? Or it is like regular update?

The local OTA works exactly as same as the wireless one, you don't lose your user data.

Tried to update via local OTA Update and sd update both failed with an error.(Redownloaded the file  ...

If you already have 20171227 installed via OTA, you already have the latest version, so you can't update it again with the same update file. 20171227 is identical to 20180117, but the developers forgot to set the correct build number. Please check the Kernel version. If you have the latest update installed, that must be Wed Jan 17 13:58

Thanks. I don't want to risk too.

Flashing in download only or firmware upgrade mode won't erase your IMEI numbers.

for all those worried about imei and user data as long as you have user data not ticked its all good ...

The IMEI numbers are not stored on the userdata partition but on a special partition called nvram. That will be erased only if you format the flash chip of your phone. The format All + Download mode can have such effect, the download only or firmware upgrade mode can not, regardless of which partitions you flash or not. That's a different storry if someone use a bad scatter file (not the file in the ROM package that you can download here) and that scsatter file contains a wrong partition table addressing.

when will you fix the fingerprint reader still doesn't work after the last update

No problem with the fingerprint scanner. Try to delete your existing fingerprints and set them again. Sometimes that's needed after an update if the fingerprint scanner drivers were also updated.
